Well, today we cleaned out under the bus and the shed.  Some things that need to be donated (to Salvos or family) are still about, but a lot went into the bin.

I bought a handbag at Vinnies, but got rid of two others as soon as I got home.

Sue's is a great suggestion.

I own 4 - a dark grey, a cream, a shamrock green and a royal blue.  1 dark neutral, 1 light neutral, and 2 brights.

If you Oopsed, then you simply pick yourself up, and go on.  There is really no other option.  Don't waste time and energy bearing yourself up, accept that you made a mistake, be aware of the factors that led to that mistake, and try to avoid them.  If avoidance is not an option, develop strategies to deal with them.

Either way, lift your head, straighten your spine, square your shoulders, put a smile on your face and get back out there!

I agree, although for some of us (me) this just meant a shift to shoes, because you can have fabulous shoes at all weights, and I argued that if I ever lost the weight, they'd still fit.

Of course, as soon as I lost weight, my flaming feet shrank too, so all my divine shoes had to go as well!

If you are looking for hard work, come help hubby sort & toss his wardrobe and assorted other - stuff.  That's next on the list of jobs, because now we are registered, and have the Spirit booked, he can't get out of it.  Neither can I..........

RFDS, Cancer Council, Assistance Dogs.  We donate to Red Cross, Vinnies & Salvos, money, food, household items & clothes (the latter two may be new or used).  Every winter we do a food drive of our own, delivering food to groups that feed the homeless & needy, preparing food for the same, and delivering food.

When in Melbourne, we eat at Crossways, which is the Hare Krishna restaurant, which also feeds/rehomes the needy and homeless, without any external funding.

Nope!  I have very little in my wardrobe anyway, but I only ever buy something, no matter if it is $1 or $100, if I am going to wear it.  Otherwise, it's a waste.  I've had this mindset for as long as I can remember.  Partly due to growing up poor, economically and space-wise, and partly due to the fact that I had kids young, so every cent had to count.

'Special occasion' clothes were/are the exception - 1 dress/outfit for grand occasions, but it didn't have to be exxy; growing up, they were homemade, and now, I think the dress in question cost me $4..........

Do I need it right now?

Do I have something already that will serve the same purpose?

I also, if it's a want, rather than a need, make myself leave it for 24 hours.  If it's still at the forefront of my mind after that time, it comes up for reassessment, in person.  If I'm still not 100%, another 24 hours.  If it's gone, it wasn't meant to be.
