Great food and good service and atmosphere. It's become my 2nd favorite bbq place in the Charlotte area. Parking can sometimes be a pain, depending on time of day, but Moe's is overall a good experience.

Sorry but this place just wasn't our cup of tea. The setting is nice and being it's on a corner gives it plenty of room to choose from where to be seated. After hearing so many rave reviews from my friends I decided to try this place with my wife for dinner just to see if it lived up to the hype. The good is that the restaurant is really clean and the service was great. The bad... well, nothing really stood out to us on the menu. We couldn't figure this place out or it's cuisine. We guess it's mostly "soul food", but we aren't really familiar with soul food either. For the prices they charge, (which I would say are pretty high for what it serves), the menu includes items like collard greens and fried chicken. How do you expect us to take a restaurant that is charging close to $20+ a plate seriously when fried chicken and pork chops are on the menu? Honestly this place seemed over priced. I thought it was based with a local ministry too, but at these prices I'm sure they are banking. I don't know if we'll ever come back.

My wife and I have been into firearms for years. We purchase around 3-4 new guns a year and do a lot of buying/trading at all the local shows. We were looking for a new place to do business with and I have to say this has been one of the worst gun shops we have ever visit. Well actually there use to be one in Pineville years ago that shut down and that was a bad place, but this place ranks with them. Parking was weird and the shop is on an awkward hill. There were two men behind the register when we walked in and no one bothered to even say "hello" or if we needed help with anything. And there were no other customers there!! We took our time and looked at what they had and both those guys were giving us some kind of mean looks as though they were bothered by us being there. What the heck was their problem?? Right as we were getting ready to leave, my wife and I look at each other and she give me that look that we won't be back. There are way better places in the area. They just opened a Cabelas in Fort Mill and we visited a place in Rock Hill called Sportsman, which is only a 15 min drive from here that was a really great gun shop experience (they have a range too). Don't waste your time or money at Aim Right, because let me tell you, they ain't aiming at anything. These people seem rude, there was nothing in the store worth buying, and we will never be going back.

My wife and I went for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. We just moved into the area a month ago. There was only one other person eating in the restaurant and the first thing we noticed was that there was no friendly service. There were two employees and no "hello" or "welcome". It was not even busy. We ordered the rotissere chicken sandwiches which were actually pretty good but that is all this place has going for it. The food is good, it's priced okay. But the service was mediocre and the tables/tableclothes on all the tables were incredibly dirty. Someone does not care about the appearance of this place. We kept moving from table to table and found food stains on all the tableclothes (why even have them in the first place?). This is not a place to take a date or just sit back and eat. Order it and take out to eat at home. I wish the experience could have been better but this is a nice area of town. Baxter Village is at the next exit and you have Tega Cay down the road. There are too many nicer restaurants for us to spend our money. If the owner doesn't care, it shows. I would recommend they step up their game if they plan to stick around for a while. Unfortunately we will not be going back here.

I wasn't impressed. Portions were small and almost laughable. My wife had the brisket, I ordered a Po-Boy sandwich. The sandwich was probably 4 inches and my side of cornbread was a joke. It was so tiny I could've eaten it in one gulp. We were still hungry afterward and decided to hit Brixx a block away an hour later. There are better places out there. I've lived in NC most of my life and in Charlotte 8 yrs. I expected and hoped for better as it was in uptown and a friend recommend this place. What makes me sad is that I'm sure a lot of out-of-towners will be visiting here in hopes of tasting their first real NC barbeque. Do yourselves a favor and head to Mac's which is a little further out from uptown or Moe's in Matthews.

Great place. Employees are top notch, friendly, and easy to talk to. I've bought a lot of different items from then over the past two years and keep coming back because of the great customer service. I rated 4 stars because even though they have an excellent store the shooting range prices are too high, but then again I guess it's Charlotte. It doesn't help us shooters who are already having to pay extra for ammo these days and then having to pay $20 and a couple more dollars for targets just to enjoy it for an hour really eats away at your wallet. It's cheaper to go 18 rounds at a public golf course and that lasts at least a few hours. Also they recently had a bowling pin shoot and I stop to ask some questions about signing up. I wanted to bring a revolver but unfortunately they did not make it fair to revolver shooters. I was told that the semi-auto guns could be loaded up to 10 rounds and my 6 rounds would just have to suffice. Well, I didn't think it was fair and will not be attending any of the shooting events in the future as well.

Man I really liked this shop. It was like walking back into time. I don't think there's any other place where they still offer knife sharpening services like they do here. And he's got a great collection of knives. I don't go in for the antiques, I like the knives and watches. Will be returning again soon.
