I've had three visits to Hyatt in the past two months and have enjoyed business at the store. I had Mitch help me find the rifle I was looking for on my first visit and he even went out of his way to check on other options available in the back room. My other visits were for an issue I was having with a revolver. The guys in their gunsmith dept. were professional and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this store for any gunsmith repair in the area. They have a team of what I believe is 4 gunsmith's. I read a few frustrated customer reviews here and my advice is to visit the store in the week like I did. A lot of people go on Saturday, and my 2nd visit was on that day. The store is jam packed with people on the weekend. It's hard to get around and not easy to get through the aisles with so many people, but during the week you can avoid the crowd and get more personal one-on-one time.

I recently purchased a used revolver from them a month ago (on layaway) and decided to go ahead and write up a review. They are a pawn shop but I’m certain their bread and butter comes from selling guns and gun accessories. My first visit was on a Saturday and the store was pretty busy. I talked to two different guys behind the counter and they were both knowledgeable and didn’t make me feel out of place. Just so you know I normally buy 3-4 guns a year and have done business here in town with with Hyatt, Carolina Sporting Arms, Bass Pro, Tactical in Concord and Sportsman in Rock Hill. I’m a young guy just 34 yrs old. I think a lot of times the people in gun stores think I come to just look but I am almost always serious about buying, so I do hope next time I am in the store I get treated that way. I went and looked and held a few models. I think pricing was fair but there were a few that I felt were marked more than what they were worth. I specifically went in mind to find me a Smith & Wesson revolver and get a nice set of stock wood grips for it. I ended up layawaying the revolver but could not get the grips as they were trying to charge me an extra $80 for them. I later found an even nicer set online for $45. Had they lowered theirs to even $55 I would have taken them. Also bought a few accessories (gun pouch, earpieces, and a sling). Those were marked at pretty good deals. I paid off the gun in less than a month. My next few visits were ok. One of the younger guys there seem a little cocky, but oh well I only talked with him a few minutes. The older gentleman (don’t know his name) with the mustache, he’s been great to deal with. I like that the shop has a pretty good selection and they seem to rotate out guns at a good pace. I’m not sure if I would go back to do business again though. It’s a bit far (I’m near Belmont) and the traffic in that area is not fun. If you like rifles they have quite a few too, at least when I was there. I think those were better priced than their handguns. Overall I would say it's a decent store. Not my absolute favorite gun shop, but not bad either. I think these guys would be better off if they ditched the whole pawn shop items and just stuck to guns and hunting gear. In my 3-4 visits there I never once saw anyone looking at the pawned tools or jewelry, they’d just go straight to the guns. Just my .02 cents.

I use to really enjoy this location but over the past few months (Sept 2012-Jan 2013) they have hired an entirely different staff that has been rude and just unprofessional. The girls working there fail to give eye contact, and act unhappy. I always dine in between 5-8 pm on weekdays. More than once they have acted like I and others ordering were an inconvenience to them... I have noticed they are lazy, slack around a lot and enjoy just chit chatting... I have been noticing this for months. I keep coming back because the food is good, but this will be my last visit here as I have also noticed that every time I dine in that the bathrooms have been filthy, and I often hear employees having inappropriate conversations while customers are dining there. I overheard them talking about smoking marijuana very loudly my last visit this past week and then the conversation went to sex. I don't know why the manager has allowed this to happen. In fact I wonder where the manager is and why they hired people like this. Perhaps they themselves are the problem, I have no idea. But if the manager is reading this, take my advice and get rid of your staff and hire people who need a job and enjoy being there. I love Chick-Fil-A but there are other many great locations in the Charlotte area. They've lost me as customer here and I will never be dining there again.
