Hi SL dev :)
First of all, I'd like this to work as SL is the launcher I have settled on, even after Nova, etc. It's really that good !

I'm after a 100% opacity status bar. I have a Z2, stock sony KK 4.4.2 rom, latest firmware. It's rooted and i'm running xposed, gravitybox (status bar mods off) and Tinted Status Bar and Android L navigation bar.

I have SL tranpsarent system bars OFF (with it on, I get a gradient status bar) and Sony transparent status bar ON.

When I set Tinted Status Bar to opaque colored status bar, it is fine on the home screen.

If i then click the SL widget page, I get translucent gradient status bar.
Press [home] and the status bar is opaque again.
Press [:::] to go into the SL drawers page and the status bar is is still opaque.
Go into preferences and then the status bar is translucent gradient status bar again.

If I repeat these tests setting Tinted Status Bar to 0% opacity...
Back to SL home screen, black status bar
SL Widget page, translucent gradient status bar.
Press [home] and the status bar is transparent!! yay!
Press [:::] and status bar is still transparent :)
Go into preferences and then the status bar is translucent gradient status bar.
Press [home] and status bar is back to transparent :)
screen goes off, activate screen and the status bar is black.

So, thanks for reading so far, do you happen to know whether SL is resetting the status bar background under certain screen actions? or is it not refreshing the status bar sometimes?

Knowing how you refresh SL screens, is it Tinted Status Bar that is not refreshing when it should?

Hope you can offer advice
Michael
ps, do you want photos? I can upload these if you like

FYI, this does seem to be SL. Other launchers are working fine.

Please let me know if there's anything I can help with to move to a fix :)

Feature request: is it possible to use icons for the tabs in the app drawer. We could then have more groups/tabs in the top bar without having to scroll the tab bar.

Surely there's little room for interpretation with the MM simply recording luminance. The red filter reduces overall luminosity and then filters in favour of red. The level of light getting to the sensor is much reduced and the red filter will leave this image very much more dull. Wouldn't the most accurate B&W with red filter be the MM, where the only colored filter in the equation is attached to the front element? As opposed to a color camera with a beyer and then interpolated red filter in photoshop.

I'd be interested to see a B&W film camera undergo the same test as the MM?

Hey Michael,

I don't quite understand what you meant with your comment. The only part clear to me is the last: of course it would be great to compare the MM with a film camera, at least in principle. There are a few problems I can see there though: first is that I stopped shooting film a while ago, so I can't do such a test at the moment; second, B&W film stocks all have different color responses to begin with, so you'd have to test quite a few different films to make it meaningful.

Best,

Vieri
