When several protocols are in use, you have to start every conversation with a negotiation of the protocol to use. In Switzerland it starts like this for me "Hello" "Halo" "Francais?" "It's OK" "Deutsch?" "Which one do you prefer?" "Ca m'est egal." "OK [Deutsch/Francais/ English]"

When you reach the corner corner of the Ministry of Health, look across the street for an alley way. Go down the alley till you reach Kung's in the middle of the block. The food is cheap and good. Not everybody on staff speaks English, but they will find someone who does if needed. If you sit in the little lounge, off on the side, you will need to go to the kitchen to order.
