Two incomes is certainly an issue. Another factor I've seen is that there are so many neighborhoods that don't have an automatic/instant kid community. Kids getting together often involves lots of parents driving because the kid populations are often so sparse.

Peter Sagan wins Gent-Wevelgem!

Sagan finally gets it right for 2013. Great attack of the breakaway group.

It was so awesome to watch the peloton racing on roads steeper and narrower than Seattle's Burke-Gilman bike path, with motos and team cars doing their best to follow.

I think either probably works well since the wheel will tend to want to go back to its original shape. Mine happened from a slide into a guardrail about 50 miles from the nearest building back before mobile phones. The curb under the guardrail worked pretty well. It was like those little tin 'noisemakers' where you would press the center of the thing and it would spring back into place making a click. once I got the wheel pretty close, it snapped back into shape and I was able to true it enough to get home.

I think your method, just for the shock effect of it would be a lot more fun.

Introduction
I'm a Celtic/Irish-American. I'm enthusiastic about a lot of things.

I love to talk about bicycles, beer, wine, food, non-linearity, technology, Disney, motorcycles, rock and roll, Pixar, the Blues, film, and mountaineering.

I've worked in the bicycle industry since 1986. I've worked as a mechanic with the U.S. cycling team in Europe. My old bike shop, Bikefit, was one of the first Bike Studios in the country. Building wheels is one of my spiritual practices.

I'm also part of +Guy Kawasaki's What the Plus and APE test team

Bragging rights
I met Pino Morroni. I used to live on the same street as one of the original Oscar Meyer Wiernermobiles.
