Zeus, Ashmore Palms' baby Lutino Macaw, and his/her buddy are slowing being introduced to their new large aviary. They are on show each morning at present until they are completely comfortable in their new home. They're loving flapping their wings and learning to fly. We can't wait for you and your family to meet them! with kind regards from the Ashmore Palms' team :)

Thanks again to all our followers for your interest in our new baby Lutino Macaw. It is the rarest of the macaw species next to the Spix’s macaw. (This Lutino Macaw is not a hybrid).
Many of the Ashmore Palms’ exotic parrots and Australian native parrots have been in the Village for almost 30 years. For 365 days of the year, the Ashmore Palms’ birds have the best food, fresh water daily, a sheltered resting place out of the weather and they are continually monitored by first class vets.
The Ashmore Palms' birds are for the exclusive viewing of our guests. We hope you and your family can holiday with us soon to see Australia’s largest private collection on show of exotic parrots and birds. (The images show the baby Lutino Macaw's development into the beautiful bird that is today and the parents) https://www.ashmorepalmsgoldcoast.com.au/

NEWS FLASH!!! OUR YOUNG LUTINO MACAW HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!!!
We are just sooooo excited to share with you our latest news! After a several month wait, our young "Lutino" Macaw has just arrived at its new home here at Ashmore Palms.
What is a Lutino Macaw, you may ask? Lutino is a term used to describe birds that exhibit a yellow pigmentation known as xanthochromism. Birds exhibiting genetic xanthochromism, especially deliberately bred mutations of several species of parrot in aviculture, are termed "lutinos". Our Lutino is of the Blue & Gold Macaw species. These are extremely rare, particularly in Australia.
Instead of having a black beak, claws and facial features, and the usual vibrant blue and gold feathers of a standard Blue & Gold Macaw, our Lutino has bright yellow feathers and white features - including a white beak, tongue, legs and claws. It's eyes are a pinkish grey instead of black.
You can see this gorgeous Lutino here at Ashmore Palms - along with many other species of Macaws!
