It wasn't 3 weeks ago I went here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The pros: Great and authentic food. Margaritas were excellente. Chips and salsa were unique and had smokey-good flavor (free). Original feel and decor inside. I felt like I was in Mexico, seriously. The Cons: Booze was EXPENSIVE! A pitcher of Texas was like $50!! They were good, but not that good. Small quarters makes for long waits. The seating process was confusing and frustrating. Full disclosure: we went on a Friday night and it was busy, so I understand some of the issues. All in all, I would go again and recommend it to a friend. I might bring a flask of Tequila with me though.

Obviously my expectations were set too high after reading other reviews on this site. Having eaten really great mexican food all my life I have found that the standard here in Atlanta is a lot lower so I always expect that. Any mexican food restaurant worth two cents has chips and salsa in front of your face right after sitting down, so it was a little odd when there was still nothing there after 10 minutes. It wasn't until I asked the server about it that I found out that they expected you to pay for the chips and salsa as an appetizer....never heard of that, but I went ahead and ordered it.... it tasted just like the kind you normally get free. Anyway, the mojito that I had, and the margarita that my friend had were both great. I had the chicken enchilada which was just "okay", it seemed like the cook was trying to make a statement with extra lime juice which was overbearing. Overall, its a decent place that I would probably eat at again if I happened to be in that area, but its no where near the level of "the best mexican food" in Atlanta. Nueva Laredo, No Mas and several others rate much better. I blame my disappointment on having my expectations set high, so I did give the server a 30% gratuity because aside from everything else she was very friendly..

It was meh. The food wasn't bad, it just wasn't good enough to ever warrant going back. Additionally, it seemed like they only had one waiter that night and he was stretched very thinly. I'm glad he got a lot of tips but this made service sort of slow.

I just moved right around the corner from this place so I decided to give it a try a couple of weeks ago. Pros: Cute atmosphere with decently tasty, unique dishes Cons: Margaritas were nothing to write home about. This place is extremely expensive for Mexican food (chips and salsa are not free, and a humble dinner for two ran over $50! Outrageous!) The food made me miserably sick for two days afterward. Stay away. There has to be better mexican food in this city somewhere!
