Interesting Travel Fact: If measured from east to west, the state of Hawaii is almost 1500 miles long. This makes Hawaii the widest state of the United States!!

Wow I don't know where to begin. I guess I will start with the rude and disrespectful employees who seemed rather annoyed that a customer wanted to check into a room. they actually charge 5 dollars a night for parking on their property. we had a room overlooking the pool sounds nice right? well that room was nasty from what I can tell all the rooms are nasty the main hallways smell of urine and vomit. don't go here spend an extra 20 bucks and get a nice room somewhere else I've lived in Kona a long time this hotel hasn't changed much its unsanitary.

The hotel staff are incredibly friendly, and the place is immaculate. The location is prime. The beds are pretty uncomfortable and the "included breakfast" is really just an expensive restaurant around the corner...there is no bar and no area I've seen with a bunch of tables as seen in the photos.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST INTERNET SERVICES THAT I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! I booked on Yahoo for run of the house...I got a crappy room with not view, not food voucher and 6 of the 8 days I stayed there the WiFi didn't work. They are the worst I have ever experienced - and I work in the hospitality HSIA market! Building is very old, dirty and a waste unless you are wasted staying her. The good part was that the staff was friendly. Will Never Stay here again and Will NEVER Use their HSIA again! Ever, Did I say EVER!

I read the reviews ahead of time. I needed a room for one night that was not expensive, just a clean, safe, good location to sleep. I was so glad that I picked this hotel. Everyone was so friendly and kind. From the person who initially reserved my room, Kuulei, to the wonderful lady at the front desk, Pua Maile, we felt welcome and at home. I did end up paying the $5 to park, it was for the security guard that is making sure everyone is safe, happy, and my car was secure. We liked it so much, we stayed one more night. Our room was in the back building facing the gardens. Pua Maile was able to give us the same room. We left to enjoy the day. Came back to an extremely clean room. Here is the good and the bad. Good- great price, VERY clean room, great location, window air conditioning, wonderful staff, fridge/coffee maker/iron/blow drier, nice pool Bad- No microwave, no free WIFI, the room was dated (which don’t mind since SO clean) but they do need new beds. The mattresses are old and small (more like short). I am small, but could feel the springs. My husband is tall, his feet were hanging off the end. The "bad" is the only reason why I gave it 4 stars. We would recommend this hotel and will stay at Kona Seaside Hotel again.
