Welcome! If you're interested in particular subjects, may I recommend a Collection or few to follow? This is what I post:

+ The Ogg-Nat War -- This isn't your father's Martian Revolution. A worldbuilding exercise on the premise of genetically augmented Martians and Selenians versus "natural" Terrans. Regular postings.

+ Kerbal Space Program -- My favorite video game, which I credit with rekindling my love for space and bringing my remaining brain cells back to life. Deprecated in favor of Space Gaming.

+ *Space Gaming* -- a catchall for all the space video games I play. Kerbal Space Program is at the top of that list, but other games with a space theme will make an appearance as I toy with them. Regular postings.

+ Space Science & Exploration -- Spacecraft, astronomy, planetary science, astronauts, and other related subjects. Regular postings.

+ Misc. Science & Technology -- Science/tech not directly related to space, more or less. Regular postings.

+ Such A Geek -- Also a nerd and a dweeb. Sometimes a dork, too. So anything from mathematics to comic books will wind up here. Regular postings.

+ Technology & Its Abuses -- Even with a broad concept of "technology" and "abuses," this winds up being about cryptography, cyber-crime, and information security, much of the time. Semi-regular postings.

+ Justice For All -- Documenting the tension between the promise and the reality. Regular postings.

+ Energy & Environmental Science -- Or, How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love Runaway Positive Feedback Loops. Depressingly regular postings.

+ Me & My Odd Musical Tastes -- I love all sorts of weird shit. Lots of metal, but very eclectic overall. Semi-regular postings.

+ Weirdly Wonderful Ideas -- Mostly humor, usually kinda messed up, typically worth every moment. Regular postings.

+ Content Warning -- Self-explanatory. Hopefully, it'll be stuff that will be fun, like talking about sexy stuff. New.

+ Cantankerisms & Crankery -- Rantings, bitchings, and particularly salty language. Because that's what you have to do sometimes, damn it. Regular postings, sorry to say.

+ Happy Feet -- Shoes and boots. Because shoes and boots. Also, shoes and boots. Although I may fold this into Femmetasia since it's somewhat related. Semi-regular postings.

+ Femmetasia -- Exploring femininity as identity and empowerment. Also, awesome femme things. Semi-regular postings.

_ Bric-a-brac -- When I can't figure out where else to put it. Semi-regular postings.

Crash report: Confused by spin, Mars probe failed to brake - An independent report has concluded that Europe's Schiaparelli probe crash-landed on Mars last year because its systems couldn't cope with a brief, wild rotation during its descent.

Stay, and I will turn these unforgiving words into a star.
Stay -- this scenery would change if we could watch it from afar.
Pain, like icons of our suffering, distilled to works of art;
Pain -- a sting of life to bind us to these heavens, torn apart.

_Celestial Violence! Eternal wars unfold across the sky!
Celestial Violence! Feel the unrelenting pulse inside!_

Sing, and celebrate the chaos of this canvas that is night!
Sing, but strike a chord of dissonance when harmony
Betrays to lure you blind into the light!
An emptiness so deep, even time will disappear,
Hand in hand with all the whispers of the intermission,
The still anticipation of a scream...!

If you haven't read this transcript or heard the speech yet, do.

Landrieu hits the proverbial nail squarely on the head.

New Orleans was America’s largest slave market: a port where hundreds of thousands of souls were brought, sold and shipped up the Mississippi River to lives of forced labor of misery of rape, of torture.

America was the place where nearly 4,000 of our fellow citizens were lynched, 540 alone in Louisiana; where the courts enshrined ‘separate but equal’; where Freedom riders coming to New Orleans were beaten to a bloody pulp.

So when people say to me that the monuments in question are history, well what I just described is real history as well, and it is the searing truth.

And it immediately begs the questions: why there are no slave ship monuments, no prominent markers on public land to remember the lynchings or the slave blocks; nothing to remember this long chapter of our lives; the pain, the sacrifice, the shame … all of it happening on the soil of New Orleans.

I'm not sure what dragons, or the Aesir for that matter, have to do with Mars, or fires, or how fires ON Mars can happen, but... JUST LISTEN TO THE SONG IT'S COOL OKAY. :P

(Maybe I should start a Collection for my burlesque-related posts?)

So far, no "show drop" -- I'm still riding the high of Friday's Brutalesque show. So I'm focusing the extra spoons on figuring out how to make that "Hell Bent For Glitter" design into a proper t-shirt.

And by "proper," I mean, debating options.

I've printed t-shirts many times over the years, so this isn't unfamiliar territory, at all. But then again, I've never been looking deeply at my glitter ink options.

CustomInk, who I used for my lovely Brutalesque hoodies, has a transparent glitter overlay. It's not bad -- but it is an overlay. Meaning, the glitter itself doesn't necessarily match the underlying ink color. You can see sparkles of green on a sea of red, for example. The two colors don't really belong in the same palette, either. So this is sub-optimal.

For this project, what I really need is a glitter flake ink, where the ink itself is imbued with glitter flake of the correct color.

I have a number of options available here. That part is awesome.

However, I had hoped to get away from having to worry about order collecting or fulfilment for these. At least initially.

Eventually I will need to buy stock to sell at shows. And perhaps these will sell well.

For now, though? I got at least a dozen burlesque performers, probably more, chomping at the bit. I'm not even worrying about a profit. They're basically willing to help promote my show identity, and besides, everyone in burlesque who doesn't have a good day job, hustles like hell to pay bills. Hence, performer rates are different from what's on the sales list.

I just gotta get them printed on my own dime, and then individually ship them to paying performers.

Which means collecting size info, and payment info -- stuff I kinda wanted to avoid.

Booster allows for fulfilment, but they use CustomInk, so at best it'd be the glitter overlay, not glitter foil.

So. Sounds like I get to pretend I'm more in the t-shirt business, than the burlesque industry. :P
