Delicious! Can't wait to go back! Let me first day, I only came here because Jayz said it was Beyonce's favorite pizza shop. I also got jalapeños on my pizza just like she did. I was trying to decide if I liked Lucali better than Paulie Gee's, but I don't. They're also very different so you can't compare the two. The pizza is very fresh and taste like it came straight from Italy. Keep in mind, there are only two items on the menu-- pizza and calzone. The staff is really nice and accommodating. I also like that it's BYOB. Of note, it's very small and there is pretty much always a wait so be prepared and be patient because this pizza is worth it.

Fantastically fresh pizza and to-die-for calzones. Cash only and BYOB. Long waits, so come early or very late on a weekday. Takeout won't do it justice because it gets a little soggy in the box.

I was so excited to eat finally eat here! I came on a Monday, and the wait was only 20 minutes, not bad for a restaurant, that has just 10 tables. Upon coming inside, the delicious smell emanated the entire restaurant and the space was beautifully lit up by candles. I ordered a half pepperoni and hot pepper and half classic pie and polished the meal off with a garlic calzone. Every thing lived up to my expectations. From the initial greet by the hostess, to the attentive service by the waitress' and my favorite bottle of red wine (BYOB!) Lucali can do no wrong! Thank you for a wonderful experience. I cannot wait to come back!

The calzones here are fantastic, the pizza is decent. By the way ... those are the only items on the menu. Nothing else. For both items you can get shallots and basil added for free. Any other toppings cost more money. Usual wait times can be 45 minutes to an hour. So your best bet is to show up early, but your name in, head to a bar to get a drink and wait for them to call your cell phone. Lastly, its BYOB. There are two different bodegas on Henry Street that have beer. There is a wine store 3 blocks north on Henry Street.

The deep dish pizzas here are amazing. I've tried the classic deep dish pizza and the permeate thin crust pizza, they're freshly made and with the perfect ratio of meat to cheese to crust. NY there's a 30 minute wait for deep dish pizzas, so I recommend placing an order as soon as you're placed on the waiting list for a table.Service is good the servers are fast and attentive.

Reallly great pizza, but it isn't the best in Brooklyn. I think it is definitely over-hyped

I was prepared to be underwhelmed due to all the hype surrounding Lucali but it really is one of the best pizzas I've had. The only downside is that the establishment has no reservation system, nobody answers the phones, and wait times are excruciating.

Awesome pizza! Worth the 2 hour wait. Put your name in and go home. They call you when your table is almost ready. Plus it's BYOB!
