One of the best pizza in Newark. The line is pretty long, but you can always enjoy a beer or a glass of wine and while waiting outside. The atmosphere on a nice sunny sunset is priceless.

The best pizza I ever had outside of Italy. They only make pizza at this place, which is good because its perfect. European style pizza like it should be. The alleged ties to the Mob make this place even more interesting and authentic.

THE BEST PIZZA IN NYC. That says it all. There are 2 things on the menu. Pizza and calzone. My recommendation...get both. A pizza will feed 2 people. The crust is thin and the pizza is so good you will eat a least 1 slice more then usual. The decore and location are about as old school Italian as you can get, and I've never been there when the owner isn't there making sure everything is perfect and chatting with regulars. The front of house staff are very nice, which is important when the wait averages 1.5 hours. They take your number so you can go to the bar while you're waiting. The pizza is a bit expensive, but it's BYO so it makes up for it. And if you didn't order enough the first time, the desert calzone if phenomenal as well.

Aside for the wait, the pizza was fantastic. Simple and true to its ingredients, flavorful, and included massive bunches of basil on every pie. The staff were friendly and "real" as my high-school students would say.

Despite of the high rating, it did disappoint me somehow when I got there for a second time. (The first time I went there was on new year's eve and they were closed) I waited until 6 PM for dinner. It is a small but neat restaurant. Too many people were trying to fit into that small area, which makes it noisy. The pizza was huge, which was enough for three people, but the pie was too soft that we couldn't even hold it in our hands. You gotta pay for each topping you add, which is another downside. In general, it's something you can expect in the city. Nothing fancy in it.

Pizza is fresh from the oven and served in a casual “feels-like-your-grandma’s-kitchen” space. Never eaten a whole large pie between 2 people before, it was that good!
