Singing steel flashes in the air, cuts an arc from the blood red sun to cleave iron, cleave flesh to the shining bone. In the moors, ancient magics boil up like mist, crawl across the green and glowing landscape with enigmatic intent. The land is alive with things far more ancient than man, and in these collected tales of wizards, dragons and mighty warriors of yore, there are things which will reach out to you from the pages, speak to you, if you only dare to listen.

My latest book is written with a sense of hope. It's written for someone, though who that someone is, I don't know yet. It's written for my future love, my one and only, whoever she may be, if indeed she even exists.

"What Will Be" is a collection of love letters and romantic poetry from me to you, future love. I hope someday we can read it side by side, and I look forward to the day when we can write the sequel together.

Lee Sykes's latest book is now available from Thunderune Publishing!

From the back cover:
Gritty, dark and uncompromising, LA Sykes' latest book, "Shotgun Therapy And Other Stories" slices a line right down the middle of dark fiction, horror fiction and hard-boiled detective noir. Vice is the language of the streets, vice and violence, and Sykes speaks it with fluency in these sixteen dark and twisted tales of crime, wit and bloody chaos.

Now available from Thunderune Publishing!

From the back cover:

The cities are dead. The valley floor is under sixty feet of salt water. This is California like you've never seen it before.

Journey with the survivors of an apocalyptic future through the rolling hills and muddy canyons of the Gold Country. Fly in a plane crafted from trash over the gridwork of streets and cities sitting in the silt at the bottom of the Central Valley Sea. Challenge swarms of motorcycle-mounted crazies chattering for your death amidst the rusting spikes of a murderous maze in the ruins of Palo Alto. See the world reborn and see it end again in ice, in fire, in the flood of a sea that stretches on forever.

Live all of this and more in Gold Hills, Rust Valley: 20 Tales From Apocalyptic California. Live through it, and you'll never look at California in the same way again.

Recently, one of my favorite authors sent me a copy of "punkPunk,"

"punkPunk" is one of the best books to come out of the indie scene that I have ever read. The editing is impeccable, the stories are detail dense and fascinating without dragging. Every story in this collection grabbed me and kept me reading. Highly recommended.
