An overall awesome place to get dessert. Found street parking. Employees are sweet and attentive. They serve a wide variety of desserts (see pics). They also serve appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, cheese plates, teas, etc. Restrooms are clean. I love the attention to detail on their desserts. They are so pretty and it tastes delicious too. They are generous with the portions, but your wallet will also be much lighter when you leave here. So glad to have tried Extraordinary Desserts.

One of my fave dessert stops. You can dine inside as well and order drinks too! When Im in the area I always have to pick something up. I just tried their Brownie Cheesecake this week. Loved everything about it and Im not a big cheesecake fan and it wasn't dry. The chocolate was delicious/decadent.

It was good but not extraordinary. We had a tiramisu cake and a chocolate cheesecake brownie. The brownie was a little bitter, but at least it had an interesting flavor (not enjoyed by everyone who had a bite). The cake was like any cake you could buy at a local supermarket. It lacked flavor altogether. All in all, not worth the price.

The name says it all! I usually have to share a piece of cake with someone. A cut of cake is too big for me to finish. The whole display of goodie selections (cakes, pastries, and treats) are too decadent and too mouth watering to eat. To add a spring to your step, only available in Little Italy, they offer a morning special (Mon-Fri) 8:30-10:30am ( coffee & a choice of scone, muffin or fruit coffee cake). Happy hour (Balboa park location) (Mon-Fri) 3-7pm. Choose a slice of cake + coffee for $10.95 ($2 additional for capuccinos, lattes, mochas).

Perfect place to grab dessert after dinner in Little Italy. The prices are a bit expensive, but the portions are huge. So definitely worth it. Best is to get a couple items and share. The ambiance is pleasant and very trendy. The place to be for dessert!

On a Saturday afternoon post-brunch, this place provides a sugar rush to add on top of a hearty breakfast! Coconut Tart, Coupe Fraise, and Chocolate Molten Lava cake. The coconut whipped mousse was light with shredded coconut and white chocolate shavings mixed throughout the mousse--all on of a hard shortbread cookie. It was decorated with mango puree and kiwi puree which helped added some tartness to the sweet yet light mousse. The Coupe fraise had a whipped cream layer and a jelly consistency layer with a berry puree layer on top. This was my favorite dessert because the taste of the berries were tart and the dessert also had berry bits so it was not monotonous in terms of texture. The chocolate molten lava cake was the weirdest one I had. It was good because it was served warm with raspberries, chocolate syrup and chocolate shavings but the consistency of the cake was rough--so I'm not sure if it was mixed in with bread flour or if the mixer didn't mix the batter well enough. The flavor was extraordinary for this item but the texture was not what I expected: dry almost. Private lot is provided for customers to park in while enjoying there desserts! Self-serve water machine too for patrons!

Maybe because I'm not big on the fancy desserts, but this place is definitely overrated and super overpriced. Don't get me wrong, their stuff is good, but good enough to wait over 30-45 minutes for on most nights? I don't think so. Take me to Rite-Aid for some ice cream instead!

Pretty, romantic and delicious. A cutesy date night and/or hang out to enjoy something sweet. Their cakes are so pretty with all the flowers. But they are also so tasty. Not overly rich but perfectly balanced. I think I've tried all their cakes by now and my favorite would have to be their blood orange cake. Delicious. Make sure to get the sauce because they sometimes don't give you it when you take it to go. I take all my friends and family that visit and they all enjoy it as much as I do.
