Let's talk grass! How much should you cut when you mow? What's the best time to mow? When you can, right? ha, ha!! TORO suggests mowing the lawn in the late afternoon hours when the sun is going down. As for how much to cut, about 1/3 at a time. Should your grass be higher, cut 1/3 then wait a few days and cut another 1/3. This prevents damage to your grass. Check out their chart on optimum grass heights for your breed of grass.

We have certainly been getting our share of rain over the last few weeks. Here's a great article on watering your lawn. I see houses with irrigation systems on timers watering the lawn right after a good rain. This does unnecessary damage to your lawn. Check out the article for more info.
