Hi Cousin Russ, I'm stepping into new territory today. You may have heard that I'm helping our friend and neighbor, J, who is looking for his biological family. I am ready to try to upload his AncestryDNA raw data to FTDNA. Where should I go to begin? Does he need buy anything?
Thanks in advance for the information.

New adventure for me today. I'm going to try to get the will, actually the entire probate record, of my great aunt Amelia Davison. An old maid. A philanthropic woman who funded the building of the East Rockaway, Long Island, New York Library. First stop - FamilySearch wiki. Thinking about logging my adventure in my blog. What's stopping me there? I want to have a graphic first. Wish me luck!

I am trying to watch the hangout with my iPad. Is there a problem tonight? I can't get anything on the video. I can see the comments in the community. That's all.

LOOKING THROUGH LEXINGTON The first thing I want to do is acknowledge and express my gratitude to a few wonderful people who are encouraging me to make another attempt at solving my brick wall dilemma regarding my two John Buckley men.  Pat Richley-Erickson...

I want to share something about my recent experience scanning photos at my local FHC to send to my gallery on FamilySearch.org.

Two large boxes of photo albums, extra photos and pictures in frames were shipped to me last week after the death of my baby sister. I was eager to start getting them digitized, and took an armful to the FHC for scanning. They were all different sizes. I scanned them all, and then went into my Gallery to start adding titles and descriptions.

What I learned, much to my dismay, was that I could not find a way to crop them! I just went home, took pictures of them with my iPhone, deleted the small ones that I couldn't crop, and replaced them with the photos in my iPhone.

What has your experience been in this regard?
