It seems that despite all the updates and purported fixes +SimCity has had, traffic is still facing major bugs.  If it's not Police units getting stuck, it's Garbage Trucks, or Ambulances.  The worst thing this that while this is going on, my city is being filled with criminals.  Come on, +Electronic Arts  #fixyourshit .

Sounds like they got those real world problems in the cities right. ;)

In Which I Rant About A Missing Feature of Google+

In terms of viewing & managing content on a touch device–iPad in this case, I really like +Google Search's approach, where it allows you to flick information cards away. However, it seems like a wasted opportunity to not make use of the same feature in the +Google+ interface which is largely made up of well, post cards.

Since I got into social media & networking, I've gotten into the habit of heavily curating content on my apps where they allow it, especially social networking apps. If I like or am interested in a post or piece of content I will keep it around, if not I remove it or hide it. Tell me I'm not in the minority here. I'm sure no one wants to have to keep stuff they don't like around. No one likes to be told what they have to consume –and without a doubt, Facebook is a huge offender in this area.
Besides, content curation is crucial part of successful content management, on the web or otherwise. If you don't practice it, you'll end up with huge piles of unmanageable junk.

For the most part it seems like a lot of thought has been put into a lot of areas of the Google+ interface but it would be really nice to be able to simply flick unwanted cards away, instead of the multi-step process we have now; i.e. enter the card, tap the gear icon, tap Mute post, tap Yes on the confirmation dialog. Now times that by 5, for a reasonable starting number & then you can see how it starts to become a ridiculously tedious problem.

This kind of gesture is also useful when viewing images. It's simply much more intuitive to flick an image away after you're done viewing it rather than to have to tap a small icon in a corner of the screen. Facebook & Twitter (among many others) have adopted this gesture on their touch device apps, it seems reasonable to suggest that Google+ do the same.

It Google wats to become a bigger player in the social networking market, it need to do things the others aren't things better. I think it's made a good start with Google+ but it definitely needs a lot more refining.

Hey +Google+, would you please mind not suggesting I add everybody in the whole world, their sisters, mothers, uncles, grandparents and their dogs & cats?
Seriously, if I really want to add people I know and am interested in following, I will honestly actively search them out and add them to my list.  You don't need to line line up a whole bunch of randoms in front of me at every turn.
I want to like you, but you're making it really difficult.

Hey @Google+, is there an option that allows us to set our nicknames alone as our custom URL, rather than expecting that everyone will want to use the FirstnameSurname, FirstnameSurnameNickname or FirstnameNicknameSurname options you supply?
