Amazing and inventive food, but be prepared to wait--especially on weekends and during carnival. Last time I went, the manager came out just to chastise the waiting customers about how the seated customers were prolonging the wait because of their smartphone use at the tables. This was one of the most unprofessional acts I've ever seen at a restaurant.

I ate at this place around eight thirty am on 7/29. Seat yourself, tables had to be bussed, which is fine by me. The waitstaff, which seemed to be three people, was inattentive but not unfriendly. I ordered the breakfast combo #1, which had a cute post-Katrina name like most of the other dishes. This place definitely has a sense of humor. My food came out very quickly as I was by myself. The scrambled eggs were kinda dry, the sausage was thin, the biscuit was pretty small, and the grits were standard order. That said, everything was acceptably tasty and the whole meal was only $8 or so, including the cheese I added to my eggs. The menu is pretty broad, too; unfortunately the place is only open 6 am to 3 pm. It's not the Ruby Slipper or Elizabeth's, but it's very close to my work. I guarantee I'll be eating there again.

Very good drinkable coffee, no wait, byob, fantastic service, tasty food, and an incrediblely charming patio. Bonus points for a hilarious menu. This place is the platonic ideal of diner that all other diners aspire to.

Went for the first (and last) time for lunch on a weekday. No wait, and the decor was interesting. The biscuits and hash browns were tasty, but my omelette was completely flavorless. Eggs, mushrooms, onions, spinach, cheese, and olives, and somehow it still tasted like plain oatmeal. My girlfriend's eggs and bacon were equally bad. The server was slow, inattentive, and kinda surly. It wasn't too expensive, but was still overpriced considering the poor quality of the food. I had heard good things about the food at least, and was disappointed.
