Further auditions for the parts of Stan, Jack and Bernard will be held on Monday 21st July 7.30pm at Woodford Church Annexe, Chester Road, Woodford. SK7 1PR.
The full character Breakdown for “Celebration” is here http://woodfordplayers.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/CELEBRATION-AUDITION-3.pdf.
Celebration is a wonderful comedy from the ever witty pens of Keith Waterhouse and Willis Hall. Set in the early 1960s this lovely play introduces us to a very Northern family,’The first act sees the family making wedding preparations. Weddings are very different affairs these days but some things never seem to change! The second act is set six months later and sees the family returning from the funeral of their Uncle Arthur and a few home truths emerge. As the saying goes, “Weddings and funerals, there’s nothing like them for bringing out the best and the worst in people”. A very entertaining observation of “the family”.
