Spring in Rotorua brings the promise of . . . warmer days, daylight saving (beginning the last Saturday in September), the re-opening of all trout fishing areas (October 1) and stunning floral displays. Rotorua is renowned for its massed beds of colourful tulips at this time of year – it’s one of the reasons why we are six time winners of ‘New Zealand’s Most Beautiful City’ award.

Gold, yellow, orange, bronze, red, scarlet and burgundy . . . Rotorua is a mass of sunset colours through the Autumn months of March, April and May. Crisp mornings mean spectacular displays of geothermal steam while days are filled with rainbow trout on the rise, golden vistas across sparkling lakes and hot pool bliss.
