Menu

Enjoy Fresh, Coastal Cooking splashed by the Pacific. Located adjacent to the ocean, Duke’s offers spectacular ocean views and Hawaiian-influenced cuisine in a relaxed, social environment. The restaurant is named after the great Duke Kahanamoku, Hawaii’s most famous citizen who is widely considered to be the father of international surfing. Duke’s ambiance is reminiscent of a Hawaiian beach house and includes memorabilia depicting the California surfing lifestyle. The restaurant’s Barefoot Bar offers an outdoor patio next to the surf.

It's alright, but nothing special. The Hawai'ian one is much better, but a few miles away.. This bar has decent food, seafood is tasty, but it's no better than and bar in Santa Monica. It's just more expensive. The view is pretty nice during sunset. Perhaps a better beer selection. Some seasonal Kona brews would have me coming in regularly.

Great gluten free fish tacos and a wonderful view of the ocean. Fast service and just minutes from the Getty Villa.

$5 to park your car in the parking lot is a bit of a racket, but that's not unusual in LA. The being said, this place was great. Great food. Friendly atmosphere. Good views. I had only been to the Honolulu location prior to this, so I was surprised more of the dining room wasn't open. The patio is small and you must add your name to a list on arrival even if you request outside when making a reservation. The complimentary birthday dish was the best free dessert I've ever had.

Duke's Malibu is an iconic restaurant. For those who don't know of this place, there are many locations in Hawaii, of course. The one location we frequent was Kimo's in Maui. Kimos and Duke's is the best for Hawaiian food. It really doesn't get more authentic than Dukes. For sure, it's definitely a long drive to get to Dukes, but this place is worth the trip. My favorite appetizer are the mussels which they don't serve here anymore. Best time to come is either happy hour where theres live hawaiian music or friday nights when there's hawaiian dancers. Either or, is a perfect date, dinner, or get-together and take in Hawaii. The outside decor and inside decor reminds me of hawaii way too much. You are taken into a hawaiian paradise and never wanting to leave. If you get a view, you can see the waves crashing in. The menu is limited, wish they would extend it, but this what makes dukes malibu unique. These are the dishes is what makes them so famous.

I visited Dukes when they were having the Dine LA lunch specials. It came with an appetizer, and entree, and dessert. For the appetizer, I ordered the Poke Tacos. WAYYYY too much wasabi on top. I am a lover of spicy food but it was just inedible. For my main course I ordered the Turkey, Bacon & Burrata Sandwich. Definitely saved the meal! This place is a little out of the way for me, but if you're in Malibu and would like to have lunch with a beautiful view, this is the place.

We visited Duke's on a family vacation, looking for good fish tacos and Duke's has good ones! We had a server named Mathew and he was awesome - he recommended some really good local beers for my wife and I to try and nailed it. When we complimented the selection he told us about the brewery and where we could pick some up, including directions! We had a beautiful seat by the window, a gorgeous day, great beer, food and service...overall a great experience and great memories...thanks!!!

I go to Dukes every time I come to LA. Ashley was great. I always have the fish tacos. Fried are better than grilled. My spot is the patio.

🌴Good Hawaiian and Seafood food off PCH. 🌺 Kind of a bummer you have to pay for parking too. 🚗The restaurant should validate your parking. 🚘
