One of my favorite bars in New York. Old world, New Orleans touches and wonderful cocktails. I recommend the Alibi-it tastes like a crisp christmas. I also recommend not going one a weekend night. It gets far too busy. I only wish that the bartenders still wore bow-ties.

Lovely little place. Very cozy and romantic. They've got a wooden ladder on the wall of liquor, unassuming stucco(?) walls, those intimate half-round booths (good for a date), and little French touches throughout the decor that make you want to fall in love. But seriously, fantastic cocktails. Really good service. One of the best bars I've been to (maybe the best) in Williamsburg.

hotel delmano is the perfect spot to impress a date, or to catch up friends. as soon as you enter, you are taken back to the prohibition era in the 1920's and 30's. the decor and ambience is perfect and you can actually hold a conversation, unlike the other bars closeby. they have an extensive cocktail menu list along with small bites and the raw bar. the ginger spike was very tasty.

This is the atmosphere, and more importantly, the cocktails you expect and want. Even at a time when it's easy to be transported to the 1890s (or 1920s, pick your classic drinking era) this place goes a step further -- by simply being a great bar, with great drinks, great small plates and great service.

Came here 2 weeks ago, it was some girls birthday. It was cracking with hood music and beers and well drinks were in a reasonable price.

Great selection of cocktails in this bar/house where you can also enjoy food&seafood. There will be a wait on week ends especially for groups.

Is the city's best cocktail bar in Williamsburg? That's really a tough one, but Hotel Delmano (which is not an actual hotel) is certainly a contender for the top title. They do all of the great pre-prohibition era mixology without too much pretentious silliness, and the drinks are more affordable than their Manhattan counterparts. It does get crowded - last time I went they stuffed me in a corner table next to a heat pipe, but once the drinks started coming the magic set in and that pipe and I became the best of friends. A must-try option for anyone into cocktail culture.

Don't be fooled by the name, you can't actually spend the night here, but the decor inside reminds one of the 19th century Hôtel d'Alsace where Oscar Wilde spent his last days boozing on absinthe. Incredible oysters and raw bar compliment the expertly-made cocktails (which come listed in a leather-bound book) with more varieties than you'll try in your lifetime. Another all-time fave - this may be my favorite bar in the city.
