Yeah, this will make some people angry because too many people, many of them men, associate feminism with anti-men sentiment. That is utter and complete nonsense. I'm willing to have rational discussions about my feminism for those who would like to hold it. For those who aren't willing to listen and present nonsense statements about feminism being the cause of all your evils, I will present my points and move on. If your argument is finding a statement from someone on Twitter who has the word feminism in their handle mentioning that they hate men, your biases are overwhelmingly skewed. I need to always be learning, and this is part of that learning.

New, because I hate this type of dad and daughters relationship.

It shouldn't feel rebellious to think your body is perfect as it is.

To the daycare providers out there who do so much for the kids they help grow.

I love writing about things the I feel have helped define who I am today. Anne of Green Gables, and the stories that have come out of it, is one of those things.

As we ready ourselves for the next evolution of Anne's tales, I'm not nervous about how they'll treat it but excited that more of the story will be told and that new people will build their new memories that they'll write about years from now.

I used to read books that would get me through a vacation without taking up any space in my long term memory. Now, as I find less and less time to read, I've grown more selective of the books I choose to read.
Sex Object: A Memoir, by Jessica Valenti is the first in what I hope will be a long series of books I recommend all dads should try and read. That she has experienced the harassment she has in the last few days makes this pick even more important.
We simply don't experience life the same way a woman does. That's important to acknowledge.

I'm excited for this movie and think it will be great.

It may suck of course, and if it does that's ok. Men have starred in many shitty movies over time.

Me, we don't own mediocrity, women can play too.

There are many more but you get the idea.

It's pretty easy to spot the joy in some kids at summer camp. They're the ones running around with the arms flailing and tongues stuck out. They play all the games and know all the cheers. But, while the kids who sit in the corner and clap from the back might be a little quieter, they too can be having fun.

To the quiet kids.

But there is also lots to be gained from having discussions about body image, about the portrayal of women in media, about common gender roles and expectations, and most importantly, about dancing with your daughter as she spins round and round on your living room floor.
