How Can This SIMPLE Exercise REDUCE Stress?

One of the tools I use in my practice is EFT, which stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques.  There are other names for it, and sometimes it is simply referred to as tapping.

This article will serve as a brief intro to EFT so that you can try it yourself.  What is most useful about EFT is I can easily teach it to clients, and then they have a concrete tool they can use to respond to difficult situations.   Clients can do it themselves, and there’s no real danger of doing it wrong, because the worst that will happen… is that nothing will happen :)

EFT and Mindfulness work hand in hand to help you reduce stress and manage depression.

Is There A Connection Between DEPRESSION and an OVER Generalized Memory?

I’ve been teaching Mindfulness as a tool to deal with depression and anxiety for a number of years, recently, a friend forwarded me this article from the NY Times, “Hazy Recall as a Signal Foretelling Depression.”  It talks about the connection between depression and “overgeneral memory” — the tendency to remember the past in broad and vague terms.

NOTICE How MINDfulness can make a difference.
