Ude i marken og afprøve den mobile pointtavle. God feedback og mange nysgerrige blikke.

Hos børnene var det var et hit at se scoren under kampen.

Timer box did go through evolution..

But the evolution took an unexpected turn. It turned out to be an score board.

Targeted at the Danish market: http://www.pointtavle.dk

These two products can be combined, number of seconds/tenth of seconds from "start" to press.

A new idea, use these big digits to show start and the number of "finished first".

Another usage: select a number of different programs/training passes...

First prototype.. 4 led to indicate start and who finished first.

Bright enough to use in bright sunlight.

Test, Testing and Tested...

It pays off! During my last long-term testing of the InDiCo4 I found the user input was too sensitive to noise from the outside.

The test setup has they keyboard cable running free and a long distance, therefore picking up more than normal noise, but I still wanted it to be more robust to outside noise.

Last night was spend rewriting my keyboard driver, and there result was awesome. Truly! Modular buildup of source, proven interfaces and the new driver slid in without major rewrite (I could even remove some lines of code from my main)

A new method was added, long press (used in sub menus to goto top level menu) and during the first 24h test no noise has provoked a key press where none was intended.

Testing, the worst task for some, but the biggest payoff in robust and user-friendly products.

Test it!

We have made long term testing, during the last two months.

The storage of current dimmer values are kept save, the real time clock keeps its pace timely.

But the LCD blacks out after 5-10 days; the trick is to cut 24 volt power to the box. On restart the display comes back to life. In our test environment this is fine, but in real life when the InDiCo4 is mounted and all wires are connected, this would be "not good" to say the least.

We are now working on a LCD reset, one every 24 hour, automatically - and this runs around 2 in the morning. To ensure this reset will not disturb anything our first priority is to ensure the dimmer outputs are not disrupted with false input so the connected lamps do not blink.

There is a now a webpage for the InDiCo4 project....

I was lucky to get http://indico4.com.

Wiring samples now published, along side a forum, where you can ask questions and contribute.

A wiring diagram is now in ready - this is to show how the InDiCo can be used.

Wiring diagram on the way....

This is to ensure you know how InDiCo4 is used and wired in a real setup.

More information on the SDK added.

My tool chain described, so you know what to expect when pledging for the SDK.
