Should anyone be at any of these locations on these dates, please pop along and put a few pennies in the SADSUK buckets. My Son and Daughter-in-law (who has a pace-maker and internal defibrillator I might add ) run next weekend in Cardiff.
First link is BBC news recent study, second are dates and locations of fun runs, and third is my Daughter-in-law (Nicki Smalley)
When you read, no explanation is needed from me as to why she works tirelessly for this charity that is so little known about, yet figures of deaths in the UK alone from sudden Arrhythmic death syndrome in children and young adults are staggering.
A recent study showed that this is a tragedy happening on a far larger scale than was first thought. 500 in England alone. The add Wales, Scotland and N Ireland. You do the math. And this is happening every single damn year. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/6176813.stm
Why aren't external defibrillators in all schools, colleges and leisure centers as standard Mr Cameron and your whipping boy??!!
Why are gutsy people like my Daughter-in-law having to work her socks off for this charity and run with a pace-maker to help place these life-savers in schools ? £1,500 is all they cost. That includes an afternoons training for someone to use them and save a life. WHY aren't you doing something to save our children and young people who are "just" dying Cameron ?!!http://www.bigfunrun.com/http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/2011/08/01/charity-launches-campaign-to-have-defibrillators-put-into-every-school-91466-29152834/
