The practice of Christian love characteristic of a disciple, Jesus and Paul exhorts us to receive God's grace, "grace is getting what we do not deserve."
God loved us (John 3:16).
God proved that He loved us (Rom 5: 8.).
Christ was sacrificed for us (II Cor. 5:21).
Christ when questioned about the greatest commandment in the Law said to love the Lord with all your heart (Matthew 22: 36-38), and added that along with this there was a second great commandment is: love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22: 39-40).
the first part of the commandment seems easy, but loving God with intensity directly linked to the practice of love of neighbor:
If you do not love your neighbor, you do not love God (I John 4: 7-11, 20).
Biblical love does not depend on our feelings (John 14:15).
Biblical love depends on the willingness to obey God (I John 3: 23-24)
The love of the believer should be in response to God's love (I John 4:19).
Sent. Trans. We have seen that a good relationship is one that has biblical love. Now another important step is to learn to ...
Grant forgiveness to one another (Ephesians 4:32)
God's forgiveness is an outpouring of grace (getting what you do not deserve) and mercy (not getting what it deserves) that provides remission of punishment to the guilty.
To understand and practice the biblical forgiveness, you need to understand and accept the forgiveness that God gave him, and follow the divine example to grant forgiveness to others.
do not touch it anymore with the person who offended you.
do not touch the subject with others.
do not touch the subject with yourself.
We must grant forgiveness in our hearts, even before the offender will ask for forgiveness (Mark 11:25).
Forgiveness is an act of obedience to the Lord (Luke 17: 3-10)
Forgiveness gives the offender what he needs, not what he deserves (Luke 23: 39-43).
Forgiveness is the love of Christ in action, with a commitment to:
Not keep record of offenses (I Cor 13:. 5).
Do not gossip with others (Efe. 4:29).
Not fix the thought on offense (Phil 4:. 8).
Restore the fellowship (Rom. 12:18).
If we learn and put into practice biblical love...it will help protect marriages, families, friendship, from Satan's attacks. ~ PB Sunshine
