World Book Day 2015 is Very Special to me this year, and my project partner +rick sare
because we have authored and photographed the very First Children's Glass Alphabet Book in print and eBook format too with entirely non-edited Google Glass photographs..
Creating a truly unique book like this, was extremely important to us as we wanted to demonstrate a collaborative book writing project using the Google Glass wearable device. Sending and sharing photos to our Google Online storage drive was very simple and saved so much time allowing for immediate accessibility to Rick's Glass photographs, all because of GLASS.
We feel as Glass Explorers, to have proven this successful as an all born digital GLASS book to be seen as a visible testament to collaborative writing while using an eye glass wearable device.
As a professional technologist/educator, I have discovered at least two important things, first that working in many different time zones as Rick was in many times, is not a barrier to collaboration , just the opposite. The collaborative aspect of this book project was especially instant communication, when using the text chat sessions of the Google Plus Community to daily review our work flow and secondly, this also helped to generate the new idea for the next book, Curious Curtis and The Important Things.
There are so many more things too:) #throughglass #WorldReadingDay #WorldBookDay #iHeartGlass
