The weather is finally warming up and people are headed "down the shore," so the Buchanan PR team put our heads together and came up with our favorite summer songs. Enjoy! And then tell us what we missed.

This #Furrsday brings you Duchess, a 4-year-old pot bellied pig. She makes friends with animals of all kinds and has a genuine love for people. Duchess enjoys tanning in the sun, snuffling for snacks and receiving belly rubs (or should we say pot belly rubs?). This pink bundle of joy likes living outside where she can get her nose dirty.

Duchess is currently showing remarkable improvement on her weight loss plan, and will be spayed as soon as she loses a few more pounds. She is the perfect fit for any pot bellied pig-friendly backyard.

Like all pigs, Duchess is incredibly smart and can be trained quicker than any dog. If you think Duchess is the companion for you, contact Marcy from Noah's Ark Rescue Project and Sanctuary by email at marcyb411@hotmail.com, or phone at 610-655-5271.

Each month, an employee receives $100 to use however he/she wants. One rule: It must make the office happy.

This month, AS Meg decided to combine the $100, our love of animals and our May employee charity. She asked the Pennsylvania SPCA to bring in a few adoptable dogs for an hour of playtime with us. The whole office (without knowing we were going to get slobbery cuddles) donated the items the PSPCA needs and we donated the $100 (plus Meg matched the donation) directly to the organization.

It was a wonderful day all around. So, we're excited to bring you Holly and Lola this #FURRSday -- two dogs available for adoption from the PSPCA.

Holly (available for adoption this Saturday) is a senior girl with a funny walk and the spirit of a puppy. She loves cuddles and treats. Lola is around 5 years old and loves nothing more than to snuggle and give you her paw in return for a little cheese. These dogs are Buchanan PR-approved! Please reach out to the PSPCA if you're interested in either gorgeous girl!

Say hi to Gabby Guarnaccia. Gabby is an almost-graduate of Perkiomen Valley High School who's spending the month with us for her career study.

Next year, Gabby will be attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC to study advertising and marketing communications.

Ultimately, Gabby would like to work at a magazine.

Fun fact: Gabby used to play volleyball and box.

Recently, a group from Buchanan took a trip down to Baltimore to visit Abel Communications. During the trip, the two teams exchanged ideas and best practices to learn more about how each other's agency functioned on a daily basis. In this week's BPR blog post, AC Joe explains why it's important for PR firms to make friends with other PR agencies.

Good morning friends. Today we have an very special #FURRSday post.
Former VP Emily contacted us about these sweet cats who need forever homes. Their owner died unexpectedly and are left with no place to go. There are four cats, but they'd do best in pairs.

The two orange cats -- Squeaky and Sammy -- are declawed senior cats. The two black cats -- Blackie and Little Girl -- are young female cats who are not declawed and possibly not spayed.

Please consider adding these loves to your home after all they've been through. They really miss their dad and could use a loving new family or person in their lives. And remember, two cats are always better than one. :)

Last week, we held a lunch and learn session to highlight each team member's individuals strengths.

We were pretty impressed with the way everyone poured their hearts into it, and we wrote down some of the words that best described each person.

The result? This awesome, giant affirmation board.

Happy #FURRsday, folks!

Today we would like you all to meet a furry little man named Jamie, from Animal Coalition of Delaware County, Inc. Around 6 months old, this handsome Dwarf & Silver Marten Mix sports a shiny, black coat interspersed with silvery highlights. He is anxiously awaiting for a furrever home outside of the rescue as he is known for his active, curious and friendly personality.

He would love to have a permanent home where he will have lots of interaction with his family, as well as plenty of room to run and play to his heart’s content. Would you like to share your heart and home with this adorable little bunny? Jamie has had a vet check-up and has been neutered, so he’s ready when you are!

So if you are looking for a young, happy, friendly bunny who is also cute as a button, please schedule a visit! You can email pabunnylady@aol.com for more information or to schedule a time to meet Jamie.

In the era of “fake news,” legitimate media outlets have unfortunately received scrutiny. In an already distressed industry, journalists and media outlets are struggling to support the means needed to combat fake news and provide factual and impactful news.

As PR professionals and consumers of the news, it is our duty to support journalists, before fake news becomes the only news.

How do we do this? Become paid subscribers and #SubscribeToTruth.
In this week’s BPR blog post, President Anne Buchanan explains how it is our moral obligation to support the journalists who go further, dive deeper and uncover the truth.
