Who's the better initiator/tank in the game? After that question, answer me this: who do you think is manlier?

Borderlands 2 not working on Ubuntu Linux!!!

Borderlands 2 isn't working on my 64-bit Ubuntu 14.04 (LTS) laptop. It starts up smoothly, goes through the bootsplashes, gets to the BL2 logo screen, but then when I get to the Main Menu it immediately crashes! And there's no error reporting feature too! I am using Intel HD 4000 graphics, and I have all the multi-arch libraries installed.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

+Dan Mazur I used to play my Steam games on Ubuntu 12.04 until I got a new laptop and upgraded to Ubuntu 14.04. Launching Steam from the Terminal on 12.04 gave me no problems with the client itself, but for some reason I get problems if I don't launch it using the Steam desktop icon. When I do that, it works just fine. Kinda weird, but I can live with that.

So I guess we can't claim to have bulletproof security to our Windows friends anymore. That's a bummer.

+Jadon Levesque Actually, the issues with Bash have been around for much longer than that, but noone made a huge exploit out of it until now.
More information is showing up that says that Shellshock isn't over, and changes need to be made to the fundamental way Bash handles variables, and they way Bash is coded in general.
I think it's really some open source ideals backfiring, but everyone'll learn, and you still have to admire the response speed.

The Linux faithful gathered today at #LinuxCon to hear core Linux developers, especially #Linus Torvalds—and the audience wasn't disappointed. In a keynote panel session, #Torvalds spoke of his hopes and the challenges for #Linux in 2014.

UNLEASH HELL

(Bot match with cheats enabled)

This is the highest DPS build without Mask of Madness I have discovered for Sven. It is centered around Armlet. You crit harder than 1975 damage (Sven's typical critical hit damage ceiling). I'm trying to punch through that ceiling and go higher and get into 2.2 - 2.6 critical hit damage. Improvements? Suggestions?

Discuss.

+Christopher Prechter it all depends on how many stuns and other high DPs nukes they have on their team. And omni would not have an issue if you manage to kill the rest of the team first. and at this time in the game it is almost worth selling the treds.

Audio problems concerning earphone jack.

Hello Community! =)

Last week, my audio was working fine on Ubuntu 14.04 on my ASUS K55A laptop. Then I had to temporarily use Windows for the rest of the week for homework. Now I'm back on Ubuntu (thank goodness), but my audio jack won't give me any sound. I can't listen to anything with my earphones! The speakers work just fine, but when I try to use the audio jack I can't hear anything.

Can anyone tell me why a "progress bar" feature for apt-get, similar to the look and feel of yum for Fedora, has taken this long to be added???

It just makes so much more sense. Plus, I can hold on to my sanity longer now that I know how much further apt-get has to go to finish its task!

Seriously, I want to know: do I sound like a Linux noob for wanting a progress bar in my most used Terminal apps? =/ I think these kinds of features/innovations/tweaks need to spread far and wide across our FOSS repositories-----like now.

Avid Apt users among you that are already running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS may want to enable the following new feature to make Terminal-time a tad more helpful.

I just wanted to hop over to the Lubuntu G+ Community and congratulate you guys on the wonderful progress you have made with Lubuntu 14.04!

I absolutely dislike LXDE and I think it is a very unattractive Desktop Environment, but YOU guys have managed to make it look very appealing! I have some Windows XP users in my family and I can know just by looking at your screenshots that they will be comfortable switching over to Lubuntu 14.04 without any fear or intimidation of Linux.

For my school's Linux PC, I'm actually going to uninstall Linux Mint and replace it with Lubuntu 14.04 when it comes out! It's a very small college, so they put me in charge of it. Lol

Great job guys. Great job!

+Alexandr Ushakov which version of RandR works for you? I can ask if the current one can be replaced if you can post the bug number here and provide full details in the bug report. We have about two weeks to suggest things to the devs for what we would like changing for 14.10. There is a massive workload for the switch to Qt, but you may be able to make a case for changing with *RandR system we use.
