We've all been there. We head to work even though we're under the weather. It's such a big problem that it's gotten a name -- "presenteeism" -- and it's costing companies billions of dollars. Here's why you should just stay home when you're ill, and why it's in your boss's best interest.

Brands should be using data and creativity to become part of a customer’s real-time context, playing the role of facilitator and utility as well as driving efficiency.

Windows 8 has been limping through its existence for just about two years now, and despite the fact that its continual updates have improved it a fair bit, the numbers aren't encouraging. Microsoft knows this, and the rumors surrounding Windows 9 show that it's going to be a move back to more familiar territory. Here's what we think might be coming.

A graduate student has created a biological leaf. It absorbs water and carbon dioxide to produce oxygen just like a plant. He did this by suspending chloroplasts in a mixture made out of silk protein. He believed it can be used for many things but the most striking one is the thought that it could be used for long distance space travel. Plants do not grow in space, but this synthetic material can be used to produce oxygen in a hostile environment.

Hotel was what would be expected from a Renaissance Suites. Not quite at the level of a Renaissance Hotel, and while this was a bit older, it was clean, everything worked well. Concierge lounge essentially served a 'dinner' each night, cookies we good.

Arrived early, and the front desk was quite accommodating; checking to see my room was available or an equivalent room. Hotel is clean, modern and front desk staff pleasant. Here for work, and would definitely consider staying here when in the area.
