It took me ages, to buy in to tweeting for a PLN, it took reading an article that described using twitter in a way that was just for professional use and I tried it. When you only network with sources that inspire or inform your teaching in some way it is a time saver--less distracting than if you are filled with celebrity follows. I had previously hour of twitter as just another time eater, but if you are killing time in an #educhat that is so different

What a lovely tribute to Nonnie Rose :-) Though my grandmother was born here, her parents were immigrants, she was one who fostered education in our family. I appreciate this piece because of it's combination of personal and universal details.

Yikes!  Sadly I think that sometimes:  "s this why no one attempts to reach her?
Everyone has given up?"  
sometimes it seems like the kids who require long term, consistent and persistent help, frustrate teachers and parents into believing they can't be helped, or even that something that is working isn't, just because it's not immediate enough, or there is a slide backward.  Sometimes I think we need to remember what it is like to teach a child to walk, they fall a lot, but we persist, we don't give up, we have faith that one day it will happen
