BIBLE STUDY 1 @ FCS National POSEC Leadership Retreat 2016
CONCLUSION
It is commonly said that “when the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable”. But permit me to add that ‘when the purpose of a thing is not maintained destruction is also inevitable’. It is one thing to know that purpose of a thing and another thing entirely different to maintain it. So long as the mandate is not carried out, whatever the person is doing cannot satisfy God. May the lord help us to properly understand His purpose for our lives.

No Shortcut
How do you get to know someone? By reading his biographical information or historical data about him? That will help you know a lot about that person, but it won’t enable you to actually know Him.

If you want to get to know someone,#you_have_to_spend_time with that person; there is no shortcut. The same holds true with God. Reading the bible, great Christian literatures, great works of theology and devotional materials are wonderful, but that is no substitute to knowing God personally.

This is exactly same way the devil works in us. He gives us a taste of sin, knowing we will crave for more. We go deeper and deeper in satisfying the begging desires. We never notice the blade inside until it is too late. For some, only when they are dying do they come to sudden realization that they have swallowed their own life in sin.
