The Biggest Mistake Web Analysts Make… And How To Avoid It!

One of my eternal frustrations is to see hours and hours of "analysis" done with almost no impact on the business. Lots of data? Yes. A little bit of action? No.

But talking about a problem is not enough. This blog post is a five step framework (with one more bonus at the end) that puts the ball squarely in your court. There is a lot that you can do (from a non-analytics perspective) to ensure you are in the driver's seat when it comes to driving action (with data!).

As of today, you don't have any excuses. Go: http://goo.gl/bRxoC

Outstanding lesson on the value of Social Media as compared to advertisement

This is a really good cartoon showing how people can game the system on high traffic websites with premium advertisement models. Looks very efficient!

I attended a 2 day bodyboarding course here with my girlfriend in July 2012. There was a good mix of novice and intermediate riders which was nice so everyone felt comfortable. The execution of the course and the coaching was excellent. I think everyone got a lot out of it. I even walked away with a free board as the most improved rider. I will definitely be attending another weekend once I have spent some time mastering what I have learned from this one, or maybe one of Rob's bodyboarding holidays.

Just had two cold breakfasts at Jazzis. We should have left upon realising that the flower on our table was dead. It's very expensive considering there is no table service (£20 for two breakfasts with tea). The food was poor. The waitress never asked if the food was ok so I presume they don't want to know.
