The Southern
http://thesouthernnashville.com/
Southern has a little bit of everything food wise.  It’s located right downtown and is a very cool, popular place.  The food is very good and it’s just a fun, lively place.  The year it opened, I believe Esquire magazine named it as one of the best new restaurants in the country.

City House
http://cityhousenashville.com/
City House is a very popular, little restaurant located in Germantown just north of downtown.  The food leans Italian with awesome pizza and pasta but has entrees that are pretty across the board.  Lots of people consider it the best restaurant in Nashville.

Pharmacy
http://thepharmacynashville.com/
Hands down our favorite burger in the city.  It’s located in East Nashville and is extremely popular, particularly when the weather is nice because it has a nice outdoor beer garden.  They don’t take reservations so it could be a challenge getting in.
Etch
http://etchrestaurant.com/
Etch is super “foodie” so the menu might not look great but the food is awesome.  It’s located downtown, caddy corner from Southern.  It’s a little more formal and upscale, but again, the food is fantastic.  Another place considered by some as the best restaurant in the city.

Tavern
http://mstreetnashville.com/restaurants/tavern
Tavern is a cool, trendy place, located in the Midtown area.  Lunch and dinner are pretty good, but I would probably suggest it for their brunch.  Kind of a different menu but really good.  It’s a part of a very successful and popular restaurant group called M Street that has a number of really good restaurants (there’s a number on this list).

Yellow Porch
http://www.theyellowporch.com/index_inside.php
A little bit off the beaten path (located near 100 Oaks), Yellow Porch has some great food.  It’s not as trendy and lacks the ambience of some of the others on this list, but when it comes to the food, it’s as good as any of them.

Cooper Kettle
http://copperkettlenashville.com/index.php
I list this purely for their Sunday brunch.  It is a wonderful, high end brunch buffet.  It’s the kind of brunch place where you won’t need to eat the rest of the day and that’s coming from me.  Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman are frequent visitors to the Green Hills location.

Kayne Prime
http://mstreetnashville.com/restaurants/kayne-prime
As far as Brit and I are concerned, this is the best restaurant in the city.  It is the best steakhouse I’ve ever been to and we’ve yet to have a meal there that has disappointed.  The steaks are absolutely amazing and everything else (sides, salads, deserts, “pop overs”) is also fantastic.  It’s constantly featured as one of the best steakhouses in the country.  It’s pricey but I couldn’t send out a list of suggestions and not include it.

Bella Napoli
http://bellanapolipizzeria.com/
A quaint, little Italian restaurant in the music row area.  Their pizzas are really good.  Nothing overly exciting but good, reasonably price food.

Coco’s Italian Market
http://www.italianmarket.biz/
Similar to Bella Napoli in the sense that it’s a little Italian restaurant (half market, half restaurant) with no frills but really, really good food.  Potentially the best Italian food in the city and very reasonable.  Brit and I go here a lot.

Silo
http://www.silotn.com/
Silo is another trendy, “foodie” place.  I feel like I struggle to order every time I’m there but every time the food has been really wonderful.  It’s located in Germantown.

Rolf & Daughters
http://rolfanddaughters.com/
One of the newer restaurants in the city and quickly one of it’s most popular.  Bon Appetit named it the # 3 best new restaurant in the country last year.  It’s a stylish, cool, “foodie,” Italian restaurant in Germantown.  We’ve only been once but it was pretty amazing.  The pastas we had were unique but awesome.  In only one trip, it claimed a spot as one of my favorites for sure.

Saint Anejo
http://mstreetnashville.com/restaurants/saint-anejo/details
Saint Anejo is a new M Street, Mexican restaurant.  Fitting with the rest of the M Street restaurants, it has a really cool atmosphere and really good food.  It hasn’t been open terribly long but we’ve already been a couple times and really liked it each time.  While it is a Mexican restaurant, you almost can’t compare it to normal Mexican food because they’ve taken it to the next level.

Edley’s
http://edleysbbq.com/
Edley’s is a casual, cool BBQ place in the 12 South area.  Probably more of a lunch option than dinner.  Really good BBQ (I love their brisket sandwich).

Moto
http://mstreetnashville.com/restaurants/moto
This is the newest M Street restaurant and pretty much just opened.  It’s another Italian restaurant.  We haven’t been yet but I’m dying to go.  Considering all their restaurants, I’m sure the food is great.

These guys are pros. Friendly people, timely service, and they returned my Jeep looking spotless inside and out. I will definitely go back to them in the future. I've been to 4 different places around Allston/Brighton and this was by far the best experience I've had.
