Here's a lecture I gave on mobile phone music at my college. It's tailored to a general audience. Totally worth a half hour of your time.  Interested to get reactions / feedback.

Is it just me, or does iOS 7 completely throw Bump, Instagram, and all flashlight apps under the bus?

An evenhanded commentary on one (fairly gimmicky) attempt to encourage audience participation.  Too often people are either zealous or critical about this kind of thing.
A play that encourages the audience to keep its phones on, take photos and live-tweet the characters onstage. "All it really did was give me a chance to check my email during the show," contributor Noah Nelson writes.

Personally, I find the music to this a little cheesy, but what a great concept: helicopters for art! Thanks +Daniel Littlewood for sharing.
