The Gino’s East story began in 1966 when two taxi drivers and a friend, frustrated with rush hour traffic, decided to open a pizzeria just off Michigan Ave. and Superior St. in Chicago. The Original Gino’s East became an instant legend with local Chicagoans, national celebrities and visitors from around the world.

1. Couldn't get a refill on water. 2. Hardly any cheese on our pizza unlike Giordanos. 3. The perseco was flat I returned it and they were outand still charged me! 4. Waited 45 mminutes to be served. 5. Only 4 slices of bread w spinach dip. When asked for more I was charged for it but never received it! 6. Seats ripped. 7. The red pepper jar top not screwed on and dumped all over my pizza.

To be honest, I though that this place was mediocre. Poor service with distracted waitstaff. Pizza was tasty but crust was bland. Order was messed up, but manager was quick to apologize. In all, I would say that Lou's was a better deep dish pizza. Head that way if you are looking for a great Chicago experience.

Very disappointed. Tried to go today with family, and first of all, the place sounds like a loud dance club inside. They force you to wait on these couches and slide down to "hold your place in line" - weird. When it was my party's, turn to be seated, was asked 3x if our whole party was here (some were waiting outside due to the loud music) and was then asked "are you ready to order?" Really??!! Is this a fast food joint? So we've never been before, never seen the menu before, have not even been seated, and we are asked if we are ready to order. Sure, I'll have a pizza. lol. Will never return.

I just went here with my boyfriend today and this is our first time. First of all, the host wasn't friendly at all. Second, the service was very very slow it tooks me more than 2 hours for our pizza (the pizza is not so good, so it doesn't worth the wait) and our server made a mistake with the pizza order. We ordered 1 medium thin and 1 medium deep dish pizza but he got it 2 deep dish small and medium. We ended up went to McDonalds cause we were starving to death we couldn't wait any longer and we came back to pick up our pizza to go. This was the worst experience ever.

Ate here for the first time after my third visit to Chicago. We started off with some IPAs and the Brisket nachos. The nachos wee tasty brisket chunks and crispy tortilla chips in layers. The supreme pizza we ordered was well made. I must say this is the first time I had to eat my pizza with knife and fork in hand, which did not take away from the experience. The crust is very thick and goes great with their extra super thick layer of solid cheese. The green pepper have the pizza great flavor. Our server Jihad was informative and accommodating. Wil come back.

Terrific way to end the day. Excellent deep dish, flavorful crushed tomato sauce, delicious sausage, fresh mushrooms... Very good. The kids loved it too. Price was better than any fast food joint along the mile.

Has the best deep dish pizza in Chicago, the crust on the pizza is to die for. It is really amazing food. When we went the staff was very friendly and the food was quick (for deep dish). If you want deep dish, go to Ginos East.

Gino's East hasn't shared anything with you.
