The Gino’s East story began in 1966 when two taxi drivers and a friend, frustrated with rush hour traffic, decided to open a pizzeria just off Michigan Ave. and Superior St. in Chicago. The Original Gino’s East became an instant legend with local Chicagoans, national celebrities and visitors from around the world.

Ate here for the first time after my third visit to Chicago. We started off with some IPAs and the Brisket nachos. The nachos wee tasty brisket chunks and crispy tortilla chips in layers. The supreme pizza we ordered was well made. I must say this is the first time I had to eat my pizza with knife and fork in hand, which did not take away from the experience. The crust is very thick and goes great with their extra super thick layer of solid cheese. The green pepper have the pizza great flavor. Our server Jihad was informative and accommodating. Wil come back.

Terrific way to end the day. Excellent deep dish, flavorful crushed tomato sauce, delicious sausage, fresh mushrooms... Very good. The kids loved it too. Price was better than any fast food joint along the mile.

I am a Southern California girl, who has always heard stories of the AMAZING GINO'S DEEP DISH. We have one local "Chicago" pizza place here in San Diego, but since visiting Chicago, I don't think I can eat the local deep dish anymore... I am a PIZZA LOVER, so a stop at Gino's was a must, and I have to say Gino's DEFINITELY lives up to the hype. I was alone on a business trip, so I sat at the bar and ordered the all meaty deep dish. This pizza made being alone a-okay. lol! The crust, the sauce, the meats- ALL DELICIOUS. Thank-you Gino's East!

Really good pizza, not my favorite, but really really good! Neat environment, not a huge fan of the graffiti but it's definitely a unique experience!

To be honest, I though that this place was mediocre. Poor service with distracted waitstaff. Pizza was tasty but crust was bland. Order was messed up, but manager was quick to apologize. In all, I would say that Lou's was a better deep dish pizza. Head that way if you are looking for a great Chicago experience.

Very disappointed. Tried to go today with family, and first of all, the place sounds like a loud dance club inside. They force you to wait on these couches and slide down to "hold your place in line" - weird. When it was my party's, turn to be seated, was asked 3x if our whole party was here (some were waiting outside due to the loud music) and was then asked "are you ready to order?" Really??!! Is this a fast food joint? So we've never been before, never seen the menu before, have not even been seated, and we are asked if we are ready to order. Sure, I'll have a pizza. lol. Will never return.

Has the best deep dish pizza in Chicago, the crust on the pizza is to die for. It is really amazing food. When we went the staff was very friendly and the food was quick (for deep dish). If you want deep dish, go to Ginos East.

mediocre customer service. First time i called from Laurie's hospital (everywhere has spotty service) the lady said she couldn't hear me, that I'd have to call back then hung up instead of trying to bear with me to make the business money. I called back got the same lady, she put me on hold; another lady took all my info again name, number, order, asked if I wanted to place the order for tomorrow; I said no I'm ordering for now... then she put me on hold. Another lady picked up asked if I was doing a pre order? I said no I'm ordering for today then she asked what i would like to order? Seriously?! I just went through this. I told her "i just gave the last girl all the info." She replied yeah that was my trainee. I said but I already gave her everything name number &order. She ignored my comment and asked what I'd like to order again. So I went through the process again. When i went to pick up order the in store price didn't match online price, the manager did match though
