Happy Winter Solstice 2015!
Newgrange Neolithic monument is Ireland's 5,000-year-old crowning masterpiece that still intrigues to this day. Located less than an hour north from Dublin, this massive passage tomb was contracted in 3,200 B.C. and predates the Egyptian Pyramids by 500 years, built with impressive precision. The rising sun of the winter solstice shines directly down its 60-foot-long passage to illuminate its inner cross-shaped chamber.
