Wholefoods is a great store in general and as a brand I would give them 5 stars. However, this store struggles to serve the huge population that visits it. I go here 3-4 times a month. All too frequently I have the following three issues: 1) there are no shopping carts to be found at the store entrance, which is hard when you have two kids latched on to you 2) cilantro is frequently sold out, a staple in my household and 3) parking is hard to find at peak hours. Good things: go to the customer service counter and they will give your child free snacks or juice.

I was really surprised by how expensive and AWFUL the sushi was. They need to lower their prices with everything. My local farmers market is so much cheaper. With everything that is going on with the stores that they were caught overcharging,,,,, it looks really bad for them...thy need to do something about their prices NOW. It's a lovely store with friendly staff,,, but, really not worth it.

This place should be renamed "Whole Paycheck". Their prices are that high.

I just love this place for great food and drink shopping. The store is huge and has all great, fresh, organic ingredients. The prices are at a premium as a result, but the guilt free shopping makes up for it. The food and coffee stands are also great and there is ample seating for a meal inside. Try some of the sushi for a great treat.

Cons: Stay away from prepared foods and sushi, and the eggs- they are way too expensive and old. Pros: Best deals on nuts, and generic organics. Great bread, and we got a vegan wedding cake with vegan frosting. You can buy booze when everything else is closed. Nice employees, sorry to hear they aren't treated well, boo!

I must say that I have read some of the reviews and I indeed believe you. However, I must proclaim that Whole Foods Market has provided me the best services in the world when it comes to customer satisfaction. I am extremely happy with everything in the store. Yes, prices have increased, but they have nothing but the best and if you are not satisfied with something you can call them and they will reimburse you. I like the store in Edgewater, NJ more than Paramus, NJ.

My first time there was to pick up a preordered turkey. They were a little disorganized/confusing as far as to the procedure for pick up but the staff was very courteous and apologetic. Meat department was efficient and ready to serve. I did pick up some lobster bisque soup for lunch but found it a bit too oily and salty for my taste. Overall, I really did like this location.

This particular store is something. My wife and I had a lunch with my 3 years old daughter and then she went into store again to buy something. Right after leaving the store someone stopped my wife asking for a receipt for the lunch saying he's the "detective" for wholefoods. I wish I was there with her by the time it happened. It was like a scene from a bad comedy movie. Their approach and attitude were totally inappropriate. And when my wife proved she paid for everything she got she had to call the store manager HERSELF to tell the situation otherwise he wouldn't have bothered to see here. LONG STORY SHORT BEWARE! YOU MAY GET ACCUSED FOR STEALING FOR THE MERCHANDISE YOU'VE PAID!! HOLD ON TO YOUR RECEIPTS LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW....
