I'd love to have one of these buttons on my desk. Imagine the fun you could have if someone came in and was very annoying. A quick twist of the key and then wait for their reaction.

The daffodils are out already in the Croppies Acre. I bet they wished they stayed hidden for a bit longer after the cold snap of the last few days.

I don't understand a lot of what he's talking about with the timings, but it's still an impressive video to watch. Jeffrey Zeldman's brother, Pete, plays the drums in some wonderfully complex patterns.

Even noticing that his feet never stop moving and never seem to miss a beat impresses me.
MY MOTHER played piano and cello. My father draws, paints, and sculpts; plays trumpet and guitar; and led an advanced R&D lab in the 1970s, developing robotics and rocket parts. You know what I do...

Here was the unexpected result from the 10K earlier. A good hard race with a sprint finish over the last few hundred metres.

A very interesting article on how the Costa Concordia was grounded and what happened after the first contact.
Don't be a show-off. Never be too proud to turn back. There are old pilots and bold pilots, but no old, bold pilots. I first heard the latter part of this famous quote made by US Airmail Pilot E. ...

I ran in the National Intermediate Cross Country at the weekend. It was an incredibly muddy course, there might have been a few hundred metres on each lap that was reasonable enough to run hard on. It was still a great experience. I don't know how the winners managed to float over the ground to make almost a minute on me each lap. I need some more deep mud training!

Oh yeah, here's some more photos from the day: http://www.photosofblacklion.net/2012-national-intermediate-and-masters-cross-country/

A well written and long article on sentence length. I found I kept reading even when I realised it was a long article. I don't know whether it was because of the sentence length, the interesting subject matter or the good writing but it kept me entertained for longer than most online articles.
