FIREWORKS TONIGHT!! The FWH back lawn is the prime spot to take in the show. Convenient parking for just $10 for non-hotel guests. The Veranda Bar is right there for a cold beverage. No need to walk a half mile like one of the herd. The best view of the lake and the best view of the fireworks!

The news is out! The Fort William Henry Corporation is in the early stages of developing an on-site craft distillery which will use locally sourced grain. The plan is to create vodka and gin at first, then whiskey and rum later on. We will have more to tell this fall.

Very friendly staff, good amenities. Tv was a little glitchy. Great breakfast. Beds extremely comfortable and Jacuzzi top class. Great view of the lake.

The view of the lake is beautiful, but the room we received was o.k. when we got there but overnight the cleaning fluid smells wore off and the room was musty and humid and smelled bad. Even the manager admitted that they had a problem with the smell and humidity in the rooms.Too bad they are not able to fix it.This was an upgraded room because the front desk person said that unless you receive a lake view the standard rooms face the parking lot. People smoke outside of the hallway doors, so you can small the smoke everywhere. The service and food in the restaurant is not good. I would not stay there again.

This hotel is a rip off. I have seen better places in most hotels. There was mold and peeling paint in the shower, gross. Stay at a motel to avoid the disappointment of paying a high price for motel 6 quality services and amenities. They had us go to the front desk when we called down to request something. Never in my life has a hotel said that to me. They have always brought anything to the room.

Miserable experience with this place. We were not given the suite with jacuzzi tub that I'd booked online, even though I'd paid in full for the room already. Instead I found out when we arrived that the hotel was "overbooked" and we'd been given a dumpy, stuffy, ugly little room on the ground floor of the add-on to the main building. I had no choice but to take the room, it was either that or not have a place to stay. I never would have paid that kind of money for that room. I was refunded the difference and told "sorry" and that was it. Waited way too long for breakfast the next morning, food was mediocre and the coffee was possibly the worst coffee I've ever had in a restaurant. Heard numerous complaints from other guests while here. Do not stay here.

July 19-24, 2015 - Booked through GROUPON, stayed in the standard motel, mtn view side and we were all satisfied. We had a wonderful week with five families and hope to do it again next year but on the lake side. The grounds were beautiful, spent evenings by the pool drinking cocktails watching the fireworks. Hotel staff cleaning our rooms were very pleasant and the room was clean. I hope Groupon offers another deal next year, our breakfast was fabulous (free) although limited but enough to fill our bellies. Very short stroll to downtown and the views were outstanding.

I stayed there in March. I book my room through the hotel by the manager. I had received the wrong room. Then went down to complain and a head of me was a lady with the same complaint. When I got to the clerk he was out of the room that I had ordered. Got the closest type of room that they still had. The room the heat was off and I turned it on my self. Took a hour to heat up. The bathroom, the toilet tank was leaking on the floor. I had reset the tank since it was not secured to the toilet. Left first thing in the morning after we awoke. I had e-mail the manager after the whole ordeal and got no return. If the manager doesn't care, then that place has lot more problems.

Overall the hotel was nice. Clean, friendly staff, and the in house restaurant was great. Great location, just a few minutes off I-87 at the bottom of Lake George.
