The Bhakti Beat @ Ahimsa Fest 2015: Once in a while we come across a new-to-us mantra musician who blows us right out of our monkey mind. Suzin Green was all that and more when we experienced her, with Daniel Johnson on tabla, chant a series of Surya Namaskar mantras (surya = sun). This one is the Surya Bija, and as Suzin said, the deeper you dive into it, the more powerful it is. This is from "The Mantra Project Volume Two: Mantras of the Sun," releasing February 2016. You should get it.

The Bhakti Beat @ Omega Chant 2015. Gaura Vani is on a mission -- we've heard him say so -- to make this invocation to Krishna and the vaisnava lineage (known as the Pancha Tattva Maha-Mantra) as widely known and recited as the Hanuman Chalisa. We think it's working...he's sure got it ringing in our hearts.

Gaura Vani, with the whole Omega gang at the closing session of Ecstatic Chant 2015.

The Bhakti Beat @ Omega Chant 2015: Deep into the four-day kirtan marathon that is Omega, Wah! offers some words of wisdom for bleary-eyed chanters, adding a dose of maha humor to a blessedly long rolling Mahamantra that will steal your heart. Chit Chor.

The Bhakti Beat @ Omega Chant 2015: "Chinta Jangan" translates to "heart thief," and Wah! sure stole our hearts with this Krishna reverie that went on for 40 minutes or so (check our page for the second part). Wah! slays us. Every time.
