Have flown as a scout, in Vietnam and having gone down twice, I can attest to the OH6 survivability. You could turn on a dime and leave change, fly sideways, backwards, you name it. While it is true we were called hunter killer teams, there was a bit more to that. One loach and one snake were called a light pink team, one loach and two snake, heavy pink (red and white platoons). One idiot USAF General once suggested to us a black team, one loach, two snakes and one B52. Trust me we had more than enough firepower if need be.
