Tax preparers are finding themselves on the front lines of encouraging Obamacare enrollment. That's because next year, under the Affordable Care Act, people will have to pay what could be a hefty tax penalty if they are uninsured for more than three months.
The uninsured face a tax penalty up to 1% of income, which could exceed $500 if earning $60,000/year.

What the government considers affordable might not be some others reality and that's just the truth. So if you don't take what they say you are supposed to be able to afford their going to issue you a tax penalty. ? How does that work for the people who have no tax liability. Now you will be liable to buy into the affordable health care program. How is that legal other than the government does what it wants and you, us Americans have no choice but to accept it or run the risk of an increased tax bill. If people could afford the affordable health care they wouldn't be threatened into Obamacare is that what this health care initiative is supposed to achieve. Please someone enlighten me cause I'm truly in the dark on this. Anyone who knows who would like to enlighten me I'd truly appreciate it. Thanks A Better Understanding

Unofficial tips get drivers better cabs and better fares, but cut into an already precarious livelihood.

Sounds like a systemic issue that is in need of a fix.
We have a case currently going through the courts which is similar.

Do you think San Francisco should ban the sale of bottled water on public property?
Tap water would save city money, help the environment — and it tastes just as good, if not better.

This is a good thing. I wish we east coasters had equivalent tap.
