I could have written this, but if you read the first paragraph, I'm the lazy version of this guy. (though Navy, not USMC)
He doesn't mention this, but I ain't mad, just disappointed, very disappointed and I think he feels that way too.

Just got this little 3 in 1 hub from Anker and have been testing it out. I have an XPS 15 at work and use a Samsung Chromebook Pro the rest of the time. Neither of them has a video out, so I thought the HDMI port on this would come in handy and with the USB C PD (passthrough charging capable) and the USB 3 (type A) port really helps on the Chromebook.

I've got to say this is a quality product. I've got some unboxing pics here and you can look at the product page for reference and specs. https://www.anker.com/products/variant/3-in-1-premium-usb-c-hub-with-power-delivery/A83350A1

It comes in a very slick white box, embossed with various Anker product drawings. I felt these before I saw them, very subtle, very classy. They included a very nice pouch to tote it around. A nice touch since this product emphasizes portability over a whole bunch of ports.

This is very well constructed with a matte, soft touch body and a metal cover, both in a medium (Space?) gray. Looks nice next to anything. The cable and connector seem super sturdy without being too stiff. Sort of a rubbery coating. Everything is flush and seams are tight. Seems like it will last a long time and take a fair bit of abuse.

I didn't have any 4K tv or monitor to test with, but both the XPS and Chromebook came up with a clear picture immediately, pure plug and play, no installing drivers or fussing with software. Pass through charging works as advertized and the USB A port was speedy and provided power to a 2.5 inch drive that I hooked up. A small light indicates the hub is being powered from the laptop, or a USB C charger plugged into its USB C port.

So, this hub does everything I'd hoped it would do and does it well. Not too expensive when you compare it to other hubs and keep in mind the quality and customer service that Anker always provides.

With ports rapidly vanishing from everything these days, you probably won't regret having one of these around.

I like my wireless Pixel buds a lot and it appears Google brought it with the wired version too.
The Verge is not known to give Google a pass on much of anything.
Of note: These are said to work with almost all modern USB C sporting devices, including Samsung phones and MacBook

If you live in Texas, do yourself a favor and check out this guide. It could save you several hundred dollars a year. PowerToChoose is a great idea, but since the early days, electric re-sellers have figured out how to "game" the system and show you rates that don't help you choose the right plan.
