…it has not yet been revealed what we shall be… —1 John 3:2 People ask me sometimes, “Where do you come up with the topics for these blogs?” I wonder, “Where do I come up with them?” The truth is, they come up with me. Sometimes life comes at me like a game...

Restacking the Firewood
“Now therefore amend your ways and your deeds and obey the voice of the Lord your God…”Jer. 26:13 Yep, the change needed to happen. But I told myself a thousand times to let it go. I tried to convince myself I was too concerned. Maybe it was just my OCD kic...

Deer Dependency
“Bear one another’s burdens…,for each one will bear his own load” -Gal. 6:2,5 It’s not easy for most of us to depend on people. Truth is, it’s not easy for most of us to depend on anything. We like our independence, our control and our consistency. We don’t...

Helicopter Living
“Peter…said to Jesus, ‘But Lord, what about this man?’ Jesus said to him, ‘…what is that to you? You follow Me.’ —John 21:21-22 It’s amazing that Jesus had the profound ability to know everything, yet He was limited by His humanity. How those two factors bl...

Faithful Wounds
“Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but deceitful are the kisses of an enemy” - Prov. 27:6 “A good friend is someone who is willing to stab you in the front.” Yikes! That sounds painful. But a true brother or sister is willing to speak the truth to us and...

Growing Old
“Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life” Prov. 16:31 Someone said to me the other day, “I’m not sure how I’ll handle it if I ever get old.” Surely he meant WHEN he get’s old. One thing is for sure if we’re fortunate enough to wa...

My goal in counseling is to help you find harmony in your life. I work with adolescents and adults in individual, marriage and family counseling. My approach is both eclectic and holistic. I believe the most effective change occurs when a person is healthy in the physical, mental, relational, emotional, and spiritual areas of life. I assist clients in evaluating and balancing these areas. Though taking the crucial first steps toward growth is scary, I am here to help guide you towards freedom and hope.
