Excellent service, clean rooms, very chic. Brilliant location. AC is a bit loud. All the staff have been so polite and helpful. I will definitely be back!

Extremely nice and helpful staff, the room was immaculate, comfortable bed, beautiful shower. For a smaller hotel in the downtown area they were more than accommodating. Everything was quite brilliant and I would definitely book again when in the area.

Good rooms and very cooperative staff. The best feature is the guided tour on foot. You must not miss the tour... I'm giving 5 stars mainly due to this tour.

Clean rooms and friendly staff. I was able to get late checkout without any issues. Pricing was perfect for NYC hotel.

The bar inside the Chandler is a quiet oasis tucked away from the hustle of NYC. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgable of the drinks she had. Its a nice place to stop on by if youre staying at the Chandler or just in the neighborhood.

I was absolutely disappointed with the room. It was incredibly small. As soon as you walk in, you are met with just walls. There is no natural sunlight and the only window we had was a view of a brick wall (so much for the courtyard view you advertised!). In addition, the room did not have even the basic amenities that you would normally find at a luxury hotel (no fridge, no large flat screen tv, no ice on the floor, no extra blanket, pillows, towels, etc). In addition to not having any extra towels, the towels we had were stained with God knows what (i don't even want to know what it was on those towels). Room service was incredibly slow (we had to go down 12 FLIGHTS of stairs to get our own towels). But even this was overshadowed by how SLOW the elevators were. We actually had a test, my girlfriend called the elevator and I walked downstairs. I had time to go downstairs, make a cup of coffee, take a sip, and run to the elevator only to find her still waiting for the elevator when I got to the top. Don't get me started on the bathroom. There was no vent, so whenever you were doing your business in there, the person in the other room could smell EVERYTHING! The tub was dirty and the water didn't drain properly. The room is worse than my own personal bedroom. Sorry, that was generous, this room is worse than my closet! I have no idea how this hotel was rated best in town by Forbes. It was just all around sad! The location is its only saving grace and even that is a stretch. P.S. Why did room service come into our room even though we had a DO NOT DISTURB sign on our door, I will never know?

Modern feel, classic comfort. Unfortunately not many amenities included (breakfast, room snacks, etc)

I've stayed at Hotel Chandler a few times. Overall it's an OK place. I don't have many other NYC hotels to compare to. +it's a good location, close to the subway and to Penn station. +Toiletries are Molton Brown and seem pretty nice +all of the staff I met are nice and professional +I like the walk-in shower -Rooms are very small. I suppose this is normal for NYC -The wifi can be very slow. One room I stayed in had a working Ethernet jack which helped offset this. In another, the Ethernet jack didn't work. -In one room the shutoff valve on the toilet would occasionally make a loud whistling noise, which made it hard to relax. -the only fridge in the room is filled with minibar items. -Additional minibar items sit on a tray on the desk, using up space in an already small area. -The TV doesn't have any accessible HDMI ports so I can't connect my own devices.
