We talk a lot about our successful intergenerational programming with North Suburban Jewish Community Center (NSJCC) because it is so special.

Marty Lawson lives in Aviv Assisted Living and he volunteers in the NSJCC classroom every week, bringing objects for science lessons. The relationships that form with the children is overwhelmingly wonderful. They adore him. And he adores them. I could go on and on but these photo say a lot.

Marty is a treasure and to some of these children, the only grandfather they have ever known.

Aviv’s $35 Million Campus Expansion Complete, Opening September 2012

What started as a house in Lynn in 1945, is now a brand new state-of-the-art campus for senior care in Peabody.

Years of planning, construction and designing every detail of a magnificent, 120,000 -square-foot Waldfogel Health Center has come to fruition. On September 9, Aviv Centers for living will open this long awaited facility.

“This is a historic milestone for Aviv Centers for Living. We are pleased to be able to continue to offer the highest level of services to our residents, patients and clients. More than ever before, we can enrich the life of each of our residents and program participants, so that each may continue to live his or her life with a sense of meaning and purpose.” Says Stephen H. Neff, President and CEO.

Our new campus features individualized care units in a household design. Three floors have 3 households each. Every household consists of 12 private rooms and 2 semi-private rooms, a common living room, parlor and dining room as well as a fully functional granite and stainless steel kitchen.
Our outdoor pathways and gardens have been beautifully designed for all to enjoy and our great room and kosher bistro are available for both residents and the community at large.

We also bring with us to our new campus both the history and the future. This is emphasized with two strong campus partnerships: the Jewish Heritage Center will be housed in our campus to showcase our rich past; and a beautiful space has been created for the North Suburban JCC’s pre-school/early childhood program. Not only will having the pre-school on campus personify our future, but it will enable us to create rewarding intergenerational programming that is sure to bring great joy to our seniors and to the children.

Aviv is positioned to make a significant contribution to the future of healthcare for seniors, through the quality of our medical services and cultural programming.

A carefully choreographed move of all patients from our Swampscott location will take place on September 9th.
