The National Maritime Museum in London has just opened four new galleries - Pacific Encounters, Polar Worlds, Tudor & Stuart Seafarers and Sea Things – bringing together a fantastic array of extraordinary treasures from around the world.

These wonderful new galleries are free to visit, so jump on a bus (or boat) and get down to Greenwich.

We were lucky enough to be involved in the project - here are a couple of photos. You can find out more on the Royal Museums Greenwich website. https://www.rmg.co.uk/whats-on/four-new-galleries

The beautiful Yellow Drawing Room at Leeds Castle in Kent will shortly be re-opening to the public after restoration works, and earlier this year, as part of those works, we were really pleased to assist the castle's conservation team with the cleaning of the room's historic plasterwork frieze.

Here are few photos from the project.

As you can see from the final pictures taken a few days ago, the room is looking stunning. Well worth a visit - as if an excuse is ever needed to go to such a magical place!

We were ever so pleased last month to return to Syon House in West London to carry out a top down deep clean of The Long Gallery. The Long Gallery is a magnificent room designed by Robert Adams. The room is over 41m long! - ideal for promenading - and Adams' design was intended to make a stroll from one end to the other as enjoyable as possible. As you'll see from our project pictures, the room's magnificence persists to this day.

Famous for its long association with journalists and newspapers, St Bride's is thought to be one of the most ancient churches in London - possibly dating back to the 7th century. The building which currently stands was designed in 1672 by Sir Christopher Wren. The church was badly damaged by fire bombs during the Blitz, but was re-built after the war with donations from newspaper proprietors and journalists. Steeped in history, this wonderful church is well worth a visit.
