Is 2014 the year of Google? We'll see, but there will definitely be a lot of fierce competition. I'm interested in new TV experiences and improvements on search and organizing information, especially.
When I interviewed Larry Page and Sergey Brin for their first ever Time magazine story, the then 27-year-old Google founders started talking up a grandiose mission: to organize ...

I agree on all points, except I'll take a new phone and tablet instead of the Xbox One. And I'll add one more thing to the list: a phone running stock Android (or something close) with a stellar camera. Please?

This happens to be an iPhone commercial but I think this is part of why smart phones are so cool, although we should still remember to put down our gadgets every now and then.

Apple's newest ad has a surprising and emotional twist.

For those of you using Android, make sure you download this app and set up the web version also.

Now you can find your lost Android phone or tablet with the new Android Device Manager app, available starting today on Google Play: http://goo.gl/8K4CFd

It works just like the web version of the Android Device Manager (http://goo.gl/QzXm0G): you can see any device associated with your Google Account, ring to locate those devices, or protect the information stored inside by remotely adding a screen lock or performing a factory reset to erase your content. The app is particularly useful if you’re out and about and don’t have access to a computer.

It’s one app we hope you never have to use, but at least now you have the peace of mind if you find yourself in a bind.

Be sure to check out these tips for keeping your Android phone or tablet safe and secure: http://goo.gl/wv5g18

What would the fox bring? +Elizabeth Mortensen

Here’s a riddle: what would a fox bring to a Thanksgiving feast? Visit google.com to see a motley crew of woodland creatures gather together to enjoy the holiday. Happy Thanksgiving from Google!

My year in review, courtesy of Google+ auto-backup videos. The appliance pictures are disruptive but I guess it's an honest look at what I've been doing!
