Nice thread on Quora -- great example of how awareness can be raised. The top post tells the story. Make sure to also click through to the original post by Christina.

Urgent Dragon NaturallySpeaking Alert:
If you use Dragon NaturallySpeaking, turn off automatic updates until further notice – there is a glitch in the system that prevents Dragon from opening after automatic updates is checked.

Update: We've gotten word that the issue with the Dragon update service has been fixed. It's safe to turn on automatic updates if you wish.

In addition, there is a service pack available for Dragon 12. We strongly recommend downloading and installing this update.

A version of Utter Command that is compatible with this update is scheduled for release next week

Anyone have an opinion on this font?

Dyslexia Font

About 10% of people have Dyslexia.  So there is a 100% chance people who have you circled need to know about this new Open Source Font for Dyslexics - for themselves, family, or friends.  It is getting rave reviews by dyslexics....

http://dyslexicfonts.com/

Please Share Publicly - You don't know who all have you circled that might benefit immensely from this...

Sharing this type of information is what Social Media is all about - let's get this information to all 150 Million G+ users.  I have edited the Original Post to reflect what I've learned from the G Plussers since I first posted it.  There are more dyslexics on G+ than I originally surmised.  Thanks to everyone for the Shares and the Feedback.  The Developer has also been quick to reply and helpful when there have been questions about various applications.

H/T:  +Brian Dunning for writing about this in the Skeptoid Newsletter.
H/T:  +Abelardo Gonzalez for developing this.  And the Chrome Extension for it - see his post's page for details.

I've seen a few different fonts that are "optimized" in some way for folks with dyslexia.  What I haven't seen is any sort of comparison/analysis of them against each other, or any study of their effectiveness.

Way cool.

This is a little experiment with a viola and Glass. I created a song by layering short video loops, improvising melodies, then I pieced it all together into a small orchestra. #throughglass

I'd like to hear from anyone who tries out the leap at SXSW…

Leap Motion will be at SXSW and we want to see you there! In addition to our Saturday panel featuring co-founders Michael Buckwald and David Holz, we feature a Leap Motion Experience on March 9-11 where you can try the Leap Motion Controller for yourselves! All of Austin is invited.
