Every morning this week, Mark Evans has arrived at 5 a.m. to meet patients and guests as they pull up to valet their cars and get in from the cold. He's been layered up and armed with a smile to endure the coldest temperatures of the season. "Two pairs of socks always helps. I've got jeans underneath this layer, which is a heavy fabric. Of course, a scarf, hoodie and gloves. It's really more your feet and your face - you've got to have your ears covered. I remember Christmas Day 2009. There was a heavy snow and no one could get out of their house, except a few of us got here."

This #Thanksgiving, we know it is a bitter sweet day for our patients, who would like to celebrate this special day and give thanks, but are missing being together with their families and friends at home. With this in mind, learn how #NICU nurses at Hillcrest create memories for families spending time in the NICU during the holidays. http://www.hillcrestmedicalcenter.com/news/when-nicu-home-holidays #turkeyday
